Hi, Not a bad little plugin, just thought I'd mention for those who are having any issues loading params.xml, just change the plugin source code to load loader.swf and not slideshowpro.swf

It's a great idea, but you need luck to get it working i guess. The documentation is very poor and the forum doesn't offer useful information either. It's a pity because it would be great if we could use the great slideshowpro and director with Joomla.

The documentation is extremely unclear.. Thanks to sambob08 I figured it out... All you actually have to do is upload your slideshow pictures folder to your website and point the xml (images.xml of the slide show) path correctly in the generated params file.
All in all a great extension. Thanks

This is a good extension and took me about 5 minutes to get going.
There are some people that find it a little confusing as it is a little confusing in the documentation (when it is pretty straight forward if you ignore many of the instructions)
A tip for setting up... get the exml path from your slideshow Pro installation (eg...
xmlFilePath="http://www.YOURSITE/sspdir/images.php?album=1"/>
And put it into http://www.easyssp.com/builder.php (under 'Your XML File Path' and press configure.
Simple copy and paste the output into the param.xml file which you upload to your site along with the slideshowpro.swf.
Good mod

no need to install, just make the SSP pages and wrap them in a mod with a loadposition.
i tried this with much headache. it does work but it's a lot of unneeded extra steps.

I have a license for Slide Show Pro and Slide Show Pro Director, I have used both programs with no problems at all on a website that is not CMS based like Joomla.
I have spent two days trying to get this extension to work with my Joomla website to no avail.
I will be the first to admit I am new to somewhat new to Joomla and have installed several extensions with no problems. to install this extension has been a nightmare for me and still have not gotten it to work.
I ave it such a low rating just because of the instalation process.

I realize some people have better success than others. Because this is an external Flash file, just one small setting can cause things to break. If you're having problems, why not click the support button and try to get help. We have a 100% resolution rate so far.
