I looked at dozens of solutions, and tested a handful. Although other solutions might have fancier animation, this was the first one I found that allowed one to display an entire album/set in an article properly. In that sense, it is a Photo Gallery replacement for solutions like Menalto, RS, Phoca and others like that. Allows you to save the space on your server for things besides hosting photos.
The one confusing thing I found was that the number of thumbnail rows and columns (set in the plugin tag) didn't behave intuitively. However, it wasn't much of a problem; I just had to adjust the numbers until they fit the space I am working in.

Hey Paul , at first i want to say that i really like your plugin! It save me so much effort not uploading all picture's at different places.
I have only one small problem which i can't figure out.
When you look at the Url , you'll see a line at the right of all small red dots. I,m also thinking that the red dots are messing up the line up of the thumbnails.

I tried al photo set codes from your website and tried all different settings in the joomla admin panel.
I hope you can help?
With kind regards,
Wouter Duijndam

Easy to install. Keyword search and tags work great. Best flickr plugin I've found to date.
Two things I'd like to see added.
1. The ability to publish in a module position.
2. Ability to remove title (richjones, you've already done this... would love the code).

I've spent a few days looking for albums extensions. As I already use Flickr regularly this makes sense.
It's so easy to use and is resonably flexible. I've been modifying bits to suit me and finding it easy to follow (never really done php or used a cms before but I am a developer)
I've added a parameter to select if I want the Flickr link to show and I've allowed a blank title.
I'd like pagination if anyone's done it, or I'll have a go, as it only displays a fixed amount of thumbnails.
I am happy to share what I've changed if anyone wants it.
Keep up the good work, it's very useful and appreciated :)

This is a fantastic plugin - I love it. Its dead easy to use, and has some great features...
Just a couple of questions (these do not detract from the great plugin). I cannot get the lightbox effect to operate, and would like to be able to turn off the Photoalbum text that appears...
Also might be nice to include the instructions as part of the xml file so they can be visible when the plugin is installed...
Great work...

No improvements needed... except may be other kind of displaying in/out.
This plugin is quite simple to use and very efficient.
Thank a lot for the good job Paul!

Well what can i say after trying 5 different ways to do a flickr album this is the one that works the best it is straight forward easy to use and works a charm took three minutes to setup 4 minutes to link the first album onto my site and my noob offsider continued to do the same thing after an over the phone convo *very impressed*
Now if only Flickr would let us view private photo's just as easily

This is an excellent plugin which is easy to install and worked flawlessly for me. I really believe that article-based galleries are the way to go as they provide incredible flexibility.
The downside is that it doesn't provide access to private photos. IMO this rules it out for many serious applications, including my own which is a club website where members don't want their photos publicly available on Flickr.
The author, while very responsive on email, has indicated that he has no plans to include the necessary authentication to access private photos. This is a great pity. If he would relent and make this enhancement, I for one would pay $$$ for a pro version which included it.
Anyone out there who does this will have a killer plugin!

I needed a simple tool for displaying images from my Flickr account on my Joomla Site. This little baby fit the bill quite nicely. I had some user induced anomalies and needed to contact the developer. He got back to me in a timely manner and got me straightened out.
I did find a peculiar problem, and it is not with the plug-in but rather the editor I am using. FCKJoomla seems to insert tags in between the arguments in the command string. I had to manually go in and clean up the code. Not putting any spaces seems to take care of the problem.
Overall, I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a simple means of displaying Flickr images within your content.

I was going to build this all myself but I'm glad you already have.
There are a few additional things that would be good like options to disable the comments etc on Flickr.
Perfect mate.
