I tried 5 other Picasa extensions before Moocasa. This one sets up easiest and has Best display. One small drawback. Would not function with auto-start enabled on my site www.mwls.org. Both menu-linked component and plugin run great. Handled 453 photos in gallery. I also like the styling options. Simple but helpful.

Would have rated it Excellent if not for one thing, and agree with zsi here: albums seem to be limited to just 20 images. :/

Is it possible to modify this great soft to allow bigger galleries? Would be perfect then for sure!

Anyway thanks for it.

3 mins and all works! Also is gallery coustomisable, but needs mootools to functioning, so browser without javascript won't display it. Anyway, it's component of the month for me.

Hello, I love this viewer, BUT As others have said I need to create a new menu link for each album. What would be perfect (for me) is the ability to set up 1 menu item that would link to a page that shows all albums from a picasa user.

I've been using Morfeoshow to set up a "Picasa" menu item and it's set and forget. My client can then manage their gallery content offsite in picasa web albums and it updates live through Morfeoshow on their site.

Can you please implement something like this? In morfeoshow all I need to do is input my clients picasa username and it grabs the photos. So simple.

I've had a few issues with Morfeoshow and it's time to jump ship. I'd like to jump onto yours please.

Nice plugin - easy tu use!
Unfortunately not all albums are shown, it seems, those containing more then 20 pics...

What should I consider?

Thank You

After the preview looks rather interesting, I was not able to install the component. Through the backend, I have tried it via package installation and direct (installation from directory) - both failed. The package installation approach could not find any package installation file. So, the downloaded file must necesarily be easy installable or there must at least be an installation procedure manual.

This is a powerful extension!
It can show public OR hidden (didn't test private) Picasa galleries from the RSS URL provided by Picasa.

This is unusual in that most other tools won't show Picasa albums that are Hidden. A useful feature when you have many many albums but don't want to show them all when they view your public albums, and still show them in Joomla site.

PROBLEM
The only problem is that this is not very usable.
It requires a MENU LINK to each Picasa Album for it to work.

It would be much more useful is this were a plugin I could embed into any content item.
OR
A component that could let you build all these RSS links and then show them in the site as a group of albums to be clicked into.

Currently it requires pretty crazy building of menu items and then republishing these menus in a module, which is way too complex.

I work in a content-centric environment so adding albums directly to content via plugin {moocasa rss='http://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/xxx/albumid/xxx?alt=rss&kind=photo&authkey=xxx=en_US'}
would be much more useful.
