I cannot believe I'm the first to review this program, as I really like it. I decided to try it after trying a few others before (both free & commercial) as the others didn't really suit my needs & this one wasn't very expensive at all (from $10 depending on how long you want support), and I absolutely love this one.

It's perfect for what we wanted - and it doesn't "bloat" up our database with thousands of replicated RSS articles either (which are already available on millions of other websites anyway), and as we plan to have lots of our own original articles eventually this one suited us better, plus our own articles now won't be lost in a sea of RSS feed ones, either.

This was far easier to set up than the others I tried too (..tip for anyone new to this or inexperienced etc - if in doubt, just choose "use globals" when setting the feed parameters up! - you can always change it later if you don't like the effect).

But probably the biggest benefit for us when compared to some of the others I tried is that FeedPortal doesn't require "ongoing maintenance" every day, which because we wanted quite a number of feeds available on our site could have meant a fair bit of work each day (...some required manually grabbing the feeds - from each provider, one at a time - then you choose which articles you want from the lists of articles each feed generates, then you post them to Joomla, and then repeat for the next one, and so on - fine with just one or two feeds but with many feeds would have meant a lot of extra work, 7 days a week, 365 days a year...) - but with FeedPortal you just set it up, then check how each different feed displays (...you usually need to 'tweak' each one to get them looking nicely, as each feed displays differently from each provider - this isn't FeedPortal's fault, you'll need to do this with any such program..)- and that's it!!- Just forget about it after that!

Another feature is that you can insert advertising code such as Google Adsense into each of the feeds (at the top, bottom, plus in between every article, every 2 or 3 articles, etc)

I haven't needed support as such, but they are very quick to respond to forum posts (..my experience each time has been my fingers have barely left the keyboard!). Plus if that isn't enough, they're also very responsive to suggestions for improvements too, as no sooner have I suggested some feature I'd like to see added or suggest a new module to compliment the component etc when I get a reply each time of 'we're including in the next version / building it as we speak" type thing!' (ahem, and which, if I do say so myself, if added will make this product even better!!!).

I really like FeedPortal and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to organize & display lots of feeds, or just wanting a way to display a few feeds in a better way.
