Finally the pages containing your videos can be valid XHTML Transitional because the HTML code generated by QTube doesn't contain the EMBED tag unlike the code provided at YouTube site (at least the last time I checked).
A QTube module is also available if you need to insert a video in a module position of your template.
Version 1.0.1
Two new parameters have been added both to plugin and module to show a video in HD (if available) and to serve a video from the special URL with delayed cookies (www.youtube-nocookie.com).
Looking for a "quick and dirty" YouTube embedding solution and tried several... this one is the "quickest and dirtiest". It just works... right out of the gate. What more can I say?
It does 99% of what we want it to do. The only variable we wish we could pass would allow time-cued playback of clips ... i.e. start playback 0:45 sec into the clip, or 3:15 into the clip, etc.
But we can live without that!
Need to embed YouTube in Article content??? This is the simple solution!

I have used a couple of other Youtube plugins in the past, but found that none of them were W3C compliant.
That brought me to look for a new one, and this does the trick.
This one have a few nice config options such as size, border color and autoplay, which come in handy.
Only negative thing is that I have to remember/lookup the code everytime I want to insert a Youtube video.
It would have been more user friendly if I only had to insert the youtube url to make this work.
Anyway, that is only a small flaw so I will definitely use this plugin going forward.

I needed to install a youtube clip on a website. Plenty of extensions for that. But this one beats most of them, because you can float it with the text, just like an image.
Configuration is a breeze. The instructions on the site accurate and to the point. It took me about 2 minutes to get the plugin installed and running the way I want it.
Easy enough for anyone to use. Highly recommended.

The good news is that this plugin works. The odd part is the syntax, which takes some digging to find. The syntax goes
{qtube vid:=xxx} where xxx = part of youtube URL after the watch=
{qtube vid:=xxx} where xxx = part of youtube URL after the watch=
This is a great extension. Installs and configures easily and works beautifully. Thanks for sharing your work.
nice. so nice.
So simple! Installed and working in a minute or two. Thank you!
