JMultimedia uses DenVideo plugin to automatically detect and display videos from many Steaming sites, in many media formats, and can be easily extended and customized,
Features are:
- you can select different diferent layouts for each view,
- yuo can select if you want comments or not,
- you can select the main css style to load, or build your own layout,
- full suport to output override
- Users can add videos from any supported server (like brightcove) just by inserting videos the URL, JMultimedia automatically detects in runtime how to display it.
- Files from supported types can also be uploaded to the local server (using Joomla upload function), and they will be stored on the default media folder.
Administrators can:
- Create, Edit and Remove media categories (Integrate into CORE categories component).
- Add, Edit and Remove media items, by remote URL local file Upload or upload to youtube Server.
- Add, Edit and Remove comments (integrated with Commentator).
- Add and configure frontend options using core menus system.
It follow all joomla 1.5 standards and many of the default style classes (css) to automatically adapt to your joomla template.

Great component, easy to install and use. One minor issue is that there are no nice templates available. Can the maker of this component provide some?

This is a cool extension. I miss a feature like a image review before seeing the actual video. Like a folder in windows where you can see that there is images in the folder before you open it. And more features to customize the player, if you only upload mp3 files you see i black background with the player infront, it would be nice if you only could see the player and not the black background. Else a good and simple extension and easy to implement.Keep up the good work
JMultimedia Suite is really a nice component for videos. I use it on my site to link youtube videos into my site. Works fine. However I just miss the opportunity to have scroll or some kinds of effects on the displayed videos in module. Other everything is just EXCELLENT!
Just what I am looking for. Was very easy to install. Only one thing that doesn't seem to want to work is the logo .png image for the preview screen but that isn't a problem because the system works perfectly.
Its a very good little gadget for showing videos, its easy to install, easy to use and works decent with most templates. I have only one reason to not use this: I want to show applets made from several .class files. This gadget only lets me pick one file. If you would implement multiple files I'd love to continue using this :D

I have one question however, how can uploaded media items be prevented from being published immediately once uploaded. I would be nice if uploaded media items could be vetted prior to being published.

... but I can't get the file to upload. It tells me it's an invalid file type, but it's an SWF. I have enabled denVideo so I am not sure what's going on. Can someone help me out please?
Excellent Component. Very easy to add the videos and Latest Videos and Random videos modules. But the Rating isn't worked for me.

Good Job and good idea to build this system.
It's working very fine, but my only problem is to have the possibility to encore video media in FLV, if you can do that, it will be great, or may be i can help you in this direction.

Out of all multimedia plug in available in the Joomla extensions site finally we got one that makes sense. You can upload and administer your multimedia files like MP3 and FLV using “categories” and integrate them in to menus, pages and modules. This Component/Module combo is very handy and very practical basically what other multimedia modules should have been and they are not.
The application need some more polishing in the code and functions parameters but anyone with basic or advance PHP knowledge you will be able to fix these little details.
