this extension works. However, it provides virtually no control as to how the publication will be displayed.
If you want some control, I advise you use the HTML embed code provided by Issuu. That's what I did and was able to tweak how to display the publication on in joomla article with much more control.

We are developers of a magazine website system, and the ISSUU ability to present magazine/publication content in a "page-flip" presentation is the best around. it has the best presentation, works from standard PDF files for import and has the best tools and options.
We were importing/embedding the ISSUU content with standard HTML but having the joomla plugin is a great bonus. From inside the ISSUU site, when choosing the "embed" option, the tags are right there for you to copy/paste for the joomla tags. it's perfect.

I've only just discovered the awesome ISSUU.COM service, and this plugin does exactly what you expect - when grabbing the embed code from ISSUU themselves, you click on "Joomla", paste into your site and there it is, nice and easy! Looks great, supports their custom embedding styles.
