Load Averages values Module

This admin module shows the load averages for your Unix/Linux server. Preferrably publish to HEADER position

EDIT
Added 1 line
defined( '_VALID_MOS' ) or die( 'Direct Access to this location is not allowed.' );

installs easily and does what it says ....

If i were to have one feature request, it might be that it saved the values over time so you could get a picture of your server over the course of a day/week etc

In my opinion, this module is a very nice addition to any Joomla site. I was experiencing some server issues and by installing this module I am able to keep an eye on server load. I would definitely recommend this module to anyone with a Joomla site. It just makes sense to know what the server load is. My thanks to the developer for this great tool.

This is a blessing for admins who would like to peek behind the hosting curtain and see why their servers are slow at times! Instant install, instant results.

Adding this to my core components that go on all my sites along with xplorer, clone, jce, etc.

Installs perfectly, takes up almost no screen space. Yoy can tell at a glance if something is going on on one of your servers.

Thanks very much for this.

Something which is definately a "good to know" when using the backend. I installed it and published to header without issues.

To answer the query below. Load averages are UNIX averages for servers. They are shown through the "uptime" command ((or others like "top").

The values represent the amount of "load" on the server ie:

last 1 minute : last 5 minutes : last 15 minutes

Load averages are *NOT* measures of cpu usage, although cpu load does play a factor in the measurement. The values represent the load on a server and this includes cpu, io, vm, etc.

A server that is lightly loaded, will sit between values of 0 - 1.

A server with heavy load will be above 1 and could go to 90 (very rare but I have seen it happen). Any values between 5 and 10 normally get sluggish responses (depends on the OS of course).

If your load average is consistently above 1 however, that means the server is very busy alot of the time and you may need to performance tune apps, server, or get a better server.

This looks a useful extension, it installed without any problems but what do the three values represent? There is no documentation and the author's website is in Swedish!
