SlideShow Pro is a GPL Joomla! module from http://www.jt.gen.tr.
This module carries you on a carousel ride filled with images. You can navigate images in a carousel-style widget. It is super light weight, very flexible and customizable to fit most of our needs.
Some of the possible customizations include, but not limited to
- Horizontal/Vertical scrolling
- Number of visible items
- Animation speed
- Custom easing effects
- Auto scroll
- Custom navigation controls (manually)
- Callback functions (manually)
- Starting position (manually)
- Scroll more than one (manually)
- Mouse Wheel interface (manually)
- Display any HTML content (manually)
- and more...
Tested on:
- Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8
- Firefox 2 and 3
- Opera 9 and 10
- Safari 3 and 4
SlideShow Pro is based on jQuery and jCarousel Lite Plugin.
For external image source: <ext>another/directory/image.ext (for the same domain) or <ext>http://sitename/folder/image.ext (for another domain)
Fade-in and Carousel layouts are removed. If you want to use this layouts, you can use our new powerful slideshow module JT SlideShow.

Just wanted a simple header that produced eye catching movement that I could resize to the dimensions that perfectly fit my designs.
So far have used it on dozens of websites. Could use more styles (i.e. fade, slide, etc.) but overall great for the header of a website.

I downloaded this specifically so I could put an image fade in the header. I wasted a lot of time trying to get it to work. No matter what I tried to use as a module class suffix to set this as a fade, it didn't change the image slide to a fade.

Thanks for the module works great.. does just what I need it to do. Very useful being able to give each image its own hyperlink.
One thing im not sure about my images are different heights it seems as one is loaded if the next image is bigger you can see it loading in the background? and there doesnt seem to be a way around this.
Thanks for all you work

First, this extension is awesome. I like it's features and how it presents things. I would have given it excellent if it weren't for these 2 problems
1 - You have to name each image you want to be displayed even if you want the whole folder. It takes quite a while to put up your images...
- What I did was named each image from 01 - ### using a program and so it's much easier... but still renaming the images then writing them down takes quite a while.
2 - You can't display 2 slideshows on the same web-page. One moves and the rest freeze. Also you can't choose which you'd rather stay still and which you'd rather move.
Other than these 2 problems I think this module is great.
Thanks
Ruminiki

Thank authors very much for this free-module.
Only one disadvantage is that sometime it suddenly disappear and reinstalling required in order to work. I do not know why...
I used this module for joomla 1.5.

It is good enough for me. There are configuration options. It looks good on the page. Nobody is trying to sell anything, i.e. just a free version and not 'free' and 'pro'.
Thanks to the authors.

Very easy to install and configure. It just took me 2 minute to make it work. So excellent work!
PS:
while many parameters are easy to configure, parameters for "Image Folder","Images","Titles", and "URLs" are a little inconvenient. But still an very good extension!

I was looking for a quick solution to add a simple slide show to a customized page of my church's website. I grabbed this one and I must say, it works better than I expected.
I saw a review saying that it does not work in IE6 but it does for me....and I did not have any configuration/hacks to do to it.
Thanks.
My one issue is that it takes some time to enter all the image names manually and no provision is made to specify images from multiple folders. But besides that, great work.

This is a perfect module for showing images with a scroll effect.. one thing I ran into was that after entering a folder name with my images I actually have to enter all the image names manually..
It should have the feature of entering multiple folder names and where we'd just enter the folder names and it'll pull out the images.. 4 outta 5

The tool is pretty good, easy to configure and install.
The only thing is that not all effects work on all browsers, for example the FadeIn effect does not work on IE6.
Would also be great if there would be a little more documentation.
But thanks to the developers!

It's a good, easy-to-use module for making image slide shows. One thing seems to be missing, although: the possibility to edit the links in images so that clicking an image in the slide show would not open a new browser window. It is only possible to determine the URL where the link directs but not whether you would like the page to open in the same browser tab, in another window etc. Therefore, no full points from me.

Guy's thanks so much, this was the first extension I have added that was up and running in no less than 5 minutes and that included downloading and publishing the module.
My only suggestion is that it took me 1 minute to work out which field control speed, so maybe take the guess work out a bit an actually name the field spped rather than Delay but either way this is a fantastic tool - Thank You Very Much.

Thank you for very nice piece of code. It works great with two little "glitches" on Fade-effect Ordered-show. In Joomla Forum I have provided full description of my investigation, and proposed fixes: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=411&t=344347&p=1585881#p1585881 I hope it will help in future development.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
The only problem is when I create 2 vertical modules, only one works well, another is empty.
If I set one of them vertical and another one horrizontal every think works well
