These language packs rectify a Bing search engine region issue which sets Australian and USA Joomla 1.5.x - 1.6.x - 1.7.x - 2.5.x websites in the Great Britain region.
These packs will change your region from en-GB to en-AU OR en-US in your meta header which Bing uses to determine your region code. This is optimal for webmasters that wish to be located in the Australian or USA region.
1.5.x Users
To Install: Australian 1.5.x users
1. Download the en-AU_Joomla_lang_full_1.5.25.zip.
2. Log into your Joomla admin backend.
3. Select Extensions Install/Uninstall.
4. Upload the zip.
5. Then select the Extensions/Language manager.
6. Set English (Australia) as your default for both Site and Administrator.
*Please note: Do not remove your 1.5.x English (United Kingdom) language pack as this is required should you decide to un-install the English (Australia) pack.
*If you have already installed the previous 1.5.17-1.5.24 language pack there is no need to upgrade to version 1.5.25 language pack as there are no language string changes.
1.6.x - 1.7.x - 2.5.x Users
To install: Australian 1.6.x - 1.7.x - 2.5.x users
1. Download zip file
en-AU_joomla_lang_full_165.zip for 1.6 users OR
en-AU_joomla_lang_full_173.zip for 1.7 users OR
en-AU_joomla_lang_full_251.zip for 2.5 users.
2. Log into joomla admin backend
3. Select Extensions Manager
4. Upload zip file
5. Go to Extensions/Language manager
6. Set English (Australia) as default for both Site and Administrator
*Optional - TinyMCE AU translation pack available for Joomla! 1.7.0 users* tinymce_lang_pack_au_J170.zip.
