This plugin does exactly what it says it will do. It's functionality is robust and makes our website look amazingly professional!
This worked exactly how my client wanted it to. Since the my client's site uses a dark background we couldn't see some of the text that was set to white in the pop-up on the map. The developers were right on it even being on the other side of the US from us. Would definitely recommend to others.
This component does exactly what it says it does, simply, easily, and beautifully.
I was able to import 600 locations with very few problems, only 3 of them had any trouble geocoding and that was just due to some formatting issues and it was easy to fix.
I did have a small issue originally since I am on a mac and it wasn't recognizing the newlines in my csv file, but a quick email to support solved the issue very quickly!

This was exactly what I needed for one of my larger sites - the company has several offices throughout the province.
They responded within hours of my email, ensuring that it would work properly, despite the company's web server using fairly dated technology.
It installed perfectly, even noticing that I had JoomFish installed. I changed a few of the entries in the language file to reflect "offices" instead of a "store".
It's EXTREMELY customizable, so I got it to look as I wanted even without a template override - even let me embed an article above the component in the page.
The dated version of PHP on this particular web server gave the component a few hiccups, but again, I emailed them and within 2 hours, they had produced a fix and very easy instructions on how to do it.

Works very cleanly across all browsers and for heavy traffic. Was able to customize relatively easy in the code and batch upload many locations.
The only thing that had a slight issue was tagging on batch upload- it created duplicate tags instead of leaving the same tags so I had to manually re-tag all based on one tag. Not a big deal.

A great extension. Did not quite have the functionality out of the box. But the guys helped me out and gave me one happy customer. Highly recommended and very helpful.
What more can I say then what's in the title? I was asked to include a zip code store finder for a high profile client of mine. After looking through the list of options here on the joomla extension site, only one really stood out. Store Locator. Not only was it a one off purchase (the other good ones require an ongoing subscription!! AS IF!) but it was extremely easy to set up and easily customisable to mine and the clients needs. I have also received great support for the Store Locator team and have no hesitation in using this product on my other sites and recommending it on to other clients and developers...Many thanks!
Rarely do I take the time to submit a review on a product, but in the case of the Store Locator App, it is well worth the few minutes to submit the review. I needed a locator application for a new web site I am developing for my company. Jared at Sysgen Media have been great. I have pushed the locator on one application to well over 2,000 listing no problem. I was looking at a monthly fee to stay current with Zip Code fees, but this application paid for it's self coming out of the gate. Of all of the open source products I have used, this has the be one of the easiest to learn.
Sysgen have a great plugin here, we have implemented across a portfolio of 11 sites and it's worked well on all the sites we have built.
Had an error happen with an upgrade of one site and sysgen provided prompt service and the issue was fixed within 48 hours.

I use store locator for my dealer network. Works like a charm and with the latest updates (which always are easy to perform), all my requirements such as custom fields are there.
Easy to install, easy to configure and easy to enter data.
Support is great as well. Quick response, common sense and a pragmatic attitude. Keep up the good work guys!

I did have some installation problems, and got just about the best support I ever received on any such product.
This guy is going to make a million dollars, I bet. He provides what we all want--a nicely functioning product and superior customer support.

None of the store locators are perfect and you'd have to merge them all to get a complete package. However, I demo'ed them all and in my opinion the newest version of Sysgen's Store Locator is the best.
Pros: Custom fields, separate search module, multiple categories, toggle on/off loading of map, language files, and yes you can search for any location in the world on a single map.
Cons: (More of a feature suggestion list) no option for text-only results, no toggle between miles and kilometers on a single map.

However, we paid double the current price of the component and our subscription ran out right before the recent update (yesterday!) and reduction in price. Normally, developers we have worked with would be understanding and gladly provide the update to early adopters without question. In this case, no such understanding was found.
This may not seem like a big deal, but a developer's treatment of his customers in matters like this play a critical role for those of us who support the premium component marketplace.
However, we paid double the current price of the component and our subscription ran out right before the recent update (yesterday!) and reduction in price. "Due to a misunderstanding on our subscription length, I thought our subscription was supposed to be for 12 months, instead of the actual 6. However, with another email to support, the misunderstanding was cleared, and they sent us the latest version as a sign of good faith and understanding. Sysgen Media really does reflect what customer support should be in the Premium Component marketplace, and I can and do recommend them to anyone reading this review. I will definitely be purchasing updates in the future! ~ Don Gilbert"
I don't do reviews very often as I don't have the time, but I have to go out of my way and thank the developer of this component as I have added it to two websites already and it works a treat for the United Kingdom. It is simply Fantastic. Is there a way to remove the link to author at the bottom of the component, this would be my only negative point.
