DM Maps uses a super-easy approach to let you embed Google maps in your site. No need to use complex plugin codes, no need to configure millions of parameters.
DM Maps adds a button under the article editor (yes, in the same page you use to edit your articles!); you push the button and then enter the address in the input field. DM Maps does its magic, creating an automated tag that is added to the article text (you can see it from the backend, but it's invisible in the frontend), and everytime the article is displayed on the site, a Google map is rendered with the address you provided in the backend.
Even editing a previously inserted address is just as easy: open the article, push the button, and edit the address. All done!
Major features
* Super-easy configuration!
* Directions support: one click and your user gets the directions to reach the address you provided in the article;
* StreetView support: one click and Street View is displayed in a jQuery popup.
* Optional link to GoogleMaps PrintTool, where your users can customize and print the directions to your address!
This extension works very fine with Joomla 1.5. But if you are looking for a solution for J2.5 then look elsewhere. I have tried on about 3 websites with J2.5.6 without success. You only get the code displayed in your frontend. Even when you are able to get the map to display, the street view doesn't even show. The support is also not the best one. I looked through the forum and saw many people having similar problems in J2.5 but their questions have not even been answered. Some questions are one month, and others even 4 months old.
I love how it was simple to set up DM Maps, and configure it for my site. I needed an extra feature and the support team (Anas) implemented it for me in a couple of days. That was great!
