Using a system that works based on a set of pre-defined fields you can match your fields with the CSVI fields to ensure a correct import. This way you can import all kinds of files from different kinds of sources, for example from your supplier.
Using the same set of pre-defined fields you can set your own export fields to export for an accounting package, order list, order picking list and many other uses.
Currently VirtueMart 2.0 and Akeeba Subscriptions are supported.
Having this software is a must! We manage a site with over 100,000 items easily using this awesome tool. The developer is super helpful!

Ive used CSVI 3 on many sites, tested CSVI4 beta & now use CSVI 4 on newer J2.5 VM2 sites.
There are a few components that I install as standard with a joomla installation. CSVI is one of them!
Works brilliantly and any problems are dealt with by Roland very quickly.
I would recommended this to anyone.

I couldn't think Vm without csvi !! It makes my life so easy !

i am putting excellent because i ve used this in the past...
But you need php 5.3+ it doesn t work on php5.2 which is kind of a drawback because people might want to migrate from one to another and they could use this component.
Anyways good work and nice update this is excactly what joomla is missing and i believe they should integrate in the core this kind of usefull components
