This plugin allows you to import CSV File as a table in your article content.
If you want to import an xls file (Excel file) : save it in csv file and you can import it to joomla article with csv import tool available here.

I installed component then the plugin, I activated the plugin and then I could see the button on the editor but I would keep getting a page not found error. I really needed something like this :-{
