mtwMigrator ComponentLanguage

mtwMigrator is a component for the new version of Joomla (1.5) that allows to migrate all the data of an old database of the previous version of Joomla (1.0).

This component pretend to migrate users, sections, categories, contents, menues and modules and 3rd party extensions of an external database.

I used RC6 and mtw Migrator and my experience was very good with mtw migrator, since it migrated spanish characters, in a right way, RC6 migrated modules, users etc but is a tool oriented to english users. The result on charset was poor.

I recommend mtw Migrator if you are looking for a quick tool to use, you dont need upload anything to migrate, you dont need to migrate in the install, since it is installed in Joomla 1.5 and use the real Joomla 1.0.X database.

RC6 is installed in the Joomla 1.0.X, you need to download the file and then you need to upload it again into Joomla 1.5 install.

mtwMigrator is installed in Joomla 1.5 and you get the migrated database in seconds, since works with the Joomla 1.0.x database. You only need the data where the joomla 1.0.x database is hosted. (database name, pass etc.)

You can the migrate content in seconds only!

good tool. Does not solve all the problems, but gives a good basis for further work.

For all "Migrant" not happy about looping and looping and looping.... for the the secret com_migrator.
