For Developers, Engineer is a Joomla 1.5 component that provides a suite of utilities to automate some of the tasks you would undertake when developing extensions for Joomla. It allows you to edit Component menu items and modify the XML setup file (with some automation features) for all extension types.

I've been searching for a component like this - totally awesome development tool! Especially if you have tonnes of files that must be included with your component on install - this component auto-creates the .xml install file, and includes all the files in the components folder you are developing.

Super sexy! Creating the XML and PHP file are the most dreadful part of the module development process. It's so repetitive it hurts. This almost completely eliminates that part of the development.
