you want to use it in a content?

Just take it, works fine and is easy to be installed, even in J1.7.3

It only lacks, if you want to use it inside a custom module with the attribute "prepare content" active. There it will show up even correctly , read the xml correctly and show titles and that it is playing correctly, but you will not hear the music.

Some hint for you, infograf: If i open additionally a content (with this player) and start/stop playing a song there, then the custom module player will work from that moment on until i leave the content page.

Of course, I would appreciate it, if this works too ;-)

Better talk about this in the Support forum (link above).

Anyhow I do confirm the issue when the custom module is assigned to a sub-menu when using some specific 3pd extension menu module .
Here I got the issue with ARI Ext Menu. It looks like the js used is the culprit.
Please test on a parent menu item.

I wanted to add my image, text and links to go with the Mp3 player, and have multiple Mp3's on the same page.

This plugin made it so easy, just paste the code with the root/mp3 file and that's it. It's small, clean and simple. Brilliant.

I looked for a plugin to insert a few short mp3's into article. They needed to be in different places (after some words about track). And this plugin is the only plugin that plays them without bugs.
One of plugins in JED plays only first mp3 in each player inserted, second plugin cannot insert more than 3-4 players... And finally i found this simple, but useful plugin!
Thanks so much!

Thank you for this good simple plugin. It works well for 128kbps mp3 audio but the .swf file cannot play 24 kbps mp3 audio.

Great plug-in and really easy to install, if one simply follows the steps. Below are the steps.

copy the code, for example in one of your articles or stories, and paste on the page. That is it. Name the mp3 song according to how you stored in the folder, in this case, media/images/stories/audio/music1.mp3. that is it, folks.

Using JosPlayer to play mp3 audio - configuration

{play}images/stories/audio/music1.mp3{/play}

{play}images/stories/audio/music2.mp3{/play}

Installed in seconds. Documentation was eXcellent (appears after the install, and when configuring)! Ability to have as many "players" in an article, and each can be either single or multiple songs is very convenient. My kudos to the author for a mighty-fine product. Suggestion: a nice little button in the editor to "Add Player" that added the appropriate tags (and THANK YOU for not making us actually edit the raw HTML!) would be an improvement.

Looks simple but great. Only experienced problems because i used a mp3 file with a variable bitrate. The flash plugin loaded correct but the audio didn't play. After using a mp3 file with fixed bit rate it worked.
So beware of what kind of mp3 you are using!
Well done boys. Nice plugin.

Honestly,
So easy, a caveman can do it.
This component was the simplest component I have ever used.
After reading the previous post I knew exactly what I had to do.
1) Install plug-in
2) Back-end; Global settings, make sure you add MP3 to you file list.
3) Click on Extensions/plug in to enable.
4) Create an article.
5) In your article between the “play” {play}http://path of your file location{/play}

Works great, using this as a simple way to audio cast.

Thanks a bunch!

This is exactly what I was looking for, the glowing praise is a perfect reflection of this plugins abilities.

The styling even matched the style of my site perfectly, although fla access would be nice to adjust for other styles.

The only feature that would be great is the ability to set the buffering time of the media as per the flash setting.

Good plugin, just wish it had more options for styling. Or give us access to an FLA file so we can style it ourselves.

I was looking for a simple method of embedding MP3 in an article ... this is the perfect solution. Within 5 minutes I had it downloaded, installed and was listening to MP audio on the front end of the site. Highly recommended.
