I have been using Zina for a year now, first as the standalone web application and now as a Joomla! extension. I absolutely Love it. I use it on a private site in order to access my music collection wherever I am in the world in a visually rich and easy to navigate presentation. I'm so impressed with this extension, I can't recommend it enough.

You got to be kidding me. This is better finished than a lot of other so-called releases. I cannot rate this one high enough. After searching for over a week, and not finding what I wanted, I gave this a go. Exactly what I was after!

The layout is superb and coped with 2000 tracks without any effort. The ZinAmp player is a really nice touch too. Only thing I would like to see,is the admin section moved to joomla backend. Full credit to the author for an excellent design - this is the way it should be done!

While this extension appears to have much potential, it is not easy to get it up and running because it isn't as simple as using the Joomla installer. The online documentation is good, but when I couldn't get it to work I found this wiki which helped me to understand why:

I recommend that you read through this wiki before you download to see if you have enough knowledge to complete the install. Zina also uses .htaccess, so you should be familiar with what that is and how to configure and use it properly.

This has a lot of potential but is not the easiest to work with right now but it is expected during Beta and is about the best alternative since mbox (Music Box) was never developed for Joomla 1.5 unfortunately. Zina is no mbox and is buggy right now and the installation needs help and not a big fan of managing everything through the frontend but it is the closest music component to mbox as you will get. Hopefully future releases will make Zina even better then mbox.

There have been few earlier components each with functionality of setting up Music store, other with juke box, other being native to Joomla 1.5 and much others offering different features.

But wait, what is Zina?
It has offered everything in a single Joomla 1.5 Native component!
I hope it continues its development, because I fear there is none replaceable to this currently.

i was looking for this type of script from month, i tried many script but on some place it will end, and im just confused what can i do...

then i found joomla, with lots of components and lots of features, really joomla is amazing, but im still looking in joomla components and my search end on Zina ..

This is the solution I have been seeking for close to a year. Previously used Mbox for joomla and after development stopped I searched for months for a proper replacement. Zina does everything Mbox did and much more. The author is very responsive to my stupid questions, couldn't recommend it more highly.
