- virtuelle Pinnwand - virtual pinboard - joomla CMS - brought to you by http://frumania.com
I needed something to make my homepage fun after running into kinks with a "wall" installation. I came across this and could not be happier. Thank you so much for an easy to use but FUN tool for Joomla. My members love it!
Pros
Component usable on Homepage
Interactive - public or private access
Posts, Videos and Images
Lets you know if your link or video is invalid.
Easy management - can delete items quickly from the frontend.
Transparent mode, blends into site - no css required.
Free!!!
Cons
Free version has a link to developer
(wasn't an issue for me - its a good product)
I'd like to change the size or type/color of the post it note. This is currently not in the setup. Again, not a deal breaker.
THANK YOU

Finally found a way to add some direct/immediate user interaction to our website.
Documentation is limited and I think I have some problems due to hosting with MySQL 4.0.x. But after some manually table creation and data insertion I could start using the component.
Looks (wooden board) a bid old fashion style. Doesn't fit the modern/design look of many templates.
Good: because it is fun, nice functionality (postit, pictures, youtube), it works, has may configuration parameters.
Not excellent: lacking documentation, doesn't work 100% in my situation.

I just installed this on my Joomla 1.5 site.
I tried to make a menu item for it, but it doesn't appear as an option when making a "new" menu item... couldn't find it in the list. Perhaps I don't know what I'm doing.
I created a menu item article and added this module to that menu item but it didn't work for me... it gave an error message about not being able to access a database...odd since I didn't see any options to indicate a database in its module settings.
It could be entirely possible that my noobishness is messing things up and this module is fine.
Also, it appears that this model is entirely in German, not English, although this won't impact it too much (unless a very professional image is warranted).
