It does exactly what I want. The lack of documentation is a problem if you have no clue as to what you are doing, but after a little digging you'll understand it. I did and it does exactly what I want it to do , displays a image, and most importantly the one I want, in a fancy box. Simple and easy, and the image is scaled down depending on the device and resolution you have.

A component which works well and easy to use, but unfortunately doesn't work with all content (problems with flash content).
Owner's reply

We will release a new version of Fancybox with a new option "Content Type", offering this functionality.

I needed a fancybox effect within expautos component for a motorhomes site, to show the terms and conditions without taking the user away from the form. Looked everywhere for advise and stumbled across this plugin.

Very easy to use and worked straight away without any problems.

The plugin could do with hints for the parameters for less knowledgeable users but all in all a very good plugin.

Thanks very much

Nice, as long as you know a bit of HTML. In the Plug-in Manager I clicked the System-Fancybox plugin. In the HTML elements box I typed a.fancybox.

Code similar to:

creates a single pop-up, and for a gallery I used

Just what I was looking for.

For those who don't understand how to use it, at plugin on HTML elements write something like a.modal and then, those anchors which a CSS class property "modal" will appear on a fancy box.

Excelent job guys!

Well the idea is good. I ♥ the Fancybox lightbox. The plugin loads all the scripts and external CSS quickly, but the lack of decent documentation or instruction makes it pretty useless IMO. "Configure HTML elements" could mean a lot of different things.
