-Activate the plugin in plugin manager.
-Insert a link to a one of the providers, youtube, google video o scribd page with css class "oembed".

This extension caused a lot of problems. I don't know a whole lot of Javascript and I was just trying to get a workaround to embed some documents. This extension worked, but put a "1" at the beginning of the article because of something to do with JQuery. There is some documentation to this effect, but I wasn't able to solve the problem with the settings in the extension. I ended up installing another extension which allows you to create a module for Javascript and HTML and that finally fixed it for me.
I would probably not recommend this extension as a fix over the other one.

I need to embed a scribd document and I used to do it with Jscribd but it seems that it is no more developped.
So I've tried oembed and it is a better solution since
1 - it works
2 - it's far more easy to embed the scribd page
thanks to the developper (is a J1.6 version on the agenda???)

Here we are the joomla 1.6 version avaible.
