After looking and trying for a good, easy extension for lightbox or similar FX, finnaly I could found this one. I'm not kidding, I've been using Joomla for 4 or 5 years and other extensions requiere something more complicated to make 'em work. This one is just -1 Install -2 Publish Module -3 Link something in your content and add the rel "shadowbox" via text mode edition or inside the WYSIWYG editor.
I love this extension. By the way. V. 1.4 is already on their site and no registration required to download it.

This extension is perfect except for one thing: disabling slideshow mode does not work. I use this with Morfeoshow, and even if I set Slideshow Delay to "null" it still plays my Morfeoshow galleries as slideshows. Other than that, I love this!
And yes - I know you have to enable advanced mode.

Ninja Shadowbox is an excellent extension, and the customer support through the ninjaforge forums is incredible.
I think it would be a cool plug in if it had better support for beginners. I have no idea how to install it however, it is supposed to be installed and it is exactly what I wanted. I can't find any installation tips, it just says install and go about your business. How do I create a gallery with it, etc.?

We have information on the site, or you can check out the original shadowbox homepage. (just put shadowbox into google)
Basically just put rel=shadowbox into your links to make it work.
e.g. A pic of me
Then the picture will show up in a shadowbox when you click the link.
Using J 1.5.9 with VM 1.1.13. Was having problems with 2 versions of Slimbox and IE7. Changed to just Shadowbox and it looks good so far on my test site.
Simply AWESOME!!! I searched five days for a good, simple gallery for Joomla 1.5 native which can do the following:
1. shadowbox for single images
2. shadowbox for multiple images
3. good handling of large images (several options, ex: resize)
This Plugin is very easy to handle. I really recommend to read the instructions, your answers should be solved then. I didn't get any errors during install or so.

Works beautifully, and allowed me to do some creative customisation. Definitely the slickest of all the lightbox extensions.
Unfortunately, WMV files don't seem to play in Google Chrome browser - it just says you need to download the Windows Media Player, which you can do as many times as you like, but to no avail...

Thanks for the feedback Jack,
I think this is an issue with Chrome and not with Shadowbox itself.
I test drove several media widgets prior to deciding upon this widget. It definitely outdoes all of them in ease of installation, tasteful end user interface, and extensibility. Kudos to the developer!
This extension is available for free members on their website and is definitely worth downloading. Because you can choose from different javascript libraries like mootools, prototype, yui, dojo, it is easy to avoid conflicts with other scripts and thanks to the very professional support in their forum, I got this working in now time.
I finally found what I was looking for in a Shadowbox and iframe module but can't use this because no matter what I did I couldn't get IE to load the page. I fine with just using Firefox the 50% of my visitors will get an error upon visiting home page of my site. Sorry.

Thanks for the feedback. We have had lots of other sites working fine in IE. Did you change the library to one of the other options? If you are using a template with mootools already loaded that is probably the cause of your problem.
