MP3 Browser

Use the tags {music}path/to/directory{/music} in any content Item and the Plugin will replace it with a table containing all of the MP3's in that directory.
The Plugin displays the ID3 tag information for title, album name, track length and size. It produces a link to download the mp3 and an embedded mp3 player to play each mp3.
Great for displaying albums/podcasts the tags can be used multiple times on a page without a problem.
The table is configurable in the Plugin's parameters, allowing the download buttons and table row colors to be changed. The width of the table can be set or left blank for 100%.
Special thanks to the creators of the Dewplayer, http://www.alsacreations.fr/dewplayer for such an excellent mp3 player.
1) I would like the download link ONLY viewable/selectable to registered users (or whatever access rights I choose)
2) I would like the music to play ONLY one track at a time.. I know this might sound picky but if its a simple moderation I think it would keep users from being frustrated HAVING to stop one and THEN play the next. I was testing and it was annoying...
3) Lastly I would like a 'play all' button or some kind of option to play the next track as if you were listening to an album.
These are VERY minor points but I would need them for full marks. If these issues were resolved I have no doubt it would be an unbeatable plugin to your site. Its almost there.. I highly recommend it over any other I have seen. I look forward to more releases.
Download it now!!
however, i wish there were more options:
1. there should be an extra column for the artists name.
2. the user should be enabled to sort the entries in each column alphabetically.
3. it would be great if the song titles could optionally be supplied with hyperlinks
hopefully some suggestions make it into the next edition.
my biggest wish however would be an alternative mp3 browser (an offspring, so to say) for single mp3 files - that is, instead of folders it should be possible to lead directily to a certain mp3-file. then i could use that browser for my song category as well.
anyway, thank you for the great tool.
Cheers
It seems the latest version still allows the user to play multiple MP3 at the same time. Other than that I have no complaints.
Thanks to Luke for your efforts on this best player plugin.
One suggestion: please improve it to work with UTF-8 encoded ID3 tags in other languages such as Chinese and Arabic, then your plugin will be welcomed all over the world!
The next version will have options to add and remove several of the columns, including the download button. There will also be ordering options. Will fix the multiple mp3 issue.
The next version should be ready in about a week.
Whether this path is dependent on the installation folder of the plugin? Many doubts like this. Pl help
