I tried several multimedia components, modules and plugins, primarily trying to find a good way to display individual podcast episodes in a Show Notes blog. This is the only one, that will allow me to:
1. Easily display an audio or video episode in an article, on the fly.
2. Play both mp3 audio and my choice of video formats, and in a Flash player, instead of a Quicktime player.
3. Easily set up the plugin to retrieve files from the same folder that my podcast program uploads to. All you have to do is type a short code and add the file name. You have the option to specify player sizes and/or autoplay though, if you choose!
4. Easily offer downloads of the podcast, regardless of format. Conveniently, JPlayer already provides the link, as well as the format and size, for the visitor.
5. Easily display more than one file in a singular article, when necessary.
Since I already have a tool that will write the XML for my Podcast feed, I primarily needed something that could read the files from my regular podcast folder, so that I don't have to upload duplicate files to a different folder... And I needed a player that would allow me to quickly display new episodes in different formats, when I do the show notes. JPlayer does all this, and also saves me another step, by offering downloads. Great plug-in!

I tried dozens of players... this one beats them all!!! Be it for mp3, video etc..
BEWARE, when embedding your media, DO NOT put the file extension (i.e. .flv, .mp3 etc...) the plugin puts it in there for you!
This works, out of the box, under Firefox AND IE (unfortunately can't say the same for others) and I highly recommend it !

This is a fine plugin indeed. Works out of the box. Although it took me almost 10 min to make it work. ;) The image path should be defined from root... other than that..Im very pleased.
