The Flv Player used in the extension is built in Flash Language Version as3. The Extension Supports all major Video formats such as flv, mp4, 3g2, 3gp, aac, f4b, f4p, f4v, m4a, m4v, mov(h.264), sdp, vp6, smil etc...
To make the Webplayer Component more Handy, HELP ToolBar is added in each Component Page.
The Development team has taken special care for security by following Joomla's Security Tip's during development. So, the Component is completely safe for your websites health.
The Flv Player used in the extension is Well Optimized for Excellent CPU usage.

I have installed this player because it looked the best of all the demos I tried and fits in nicely with the layout of my site as it is CSS based. Installation was a snap and it did what was advertised. After using the free version of HD Webplayer, I upgraded to the commercial version to get the extra features. The upgrade was so worth it.

I have a movie review website and also a personal website for broadcasting interview videos. I looked for a player and contacted the support staff for some customization.
Everything is done as per my ideas and the communication of the support staff is good. One thing is the time zone difference which is usual in all areas.

I am using this for my website. I want mobile compatibility too. I am not sure how this worked. But when I asked the support staff they explained me in a simple way which I understand.

This is a good extension, flexible, intuitive and it works on iPhones!
The main issue I have is not so much with the player, but that the developers forum area is not nearly as helpful as it could be.... many people there have posted various issues and problems, but instead of addressing those issues in the open where everyone can learn from them, the developer in most cases asks the customer to email the development team directly. This leaves one hanging and frustrated. Why not post the solution to the question so everyone can learn from it? plus I'm sure it would cut down on emails they receive for the same questions.
But besides the forum complaint the player is really good, I've worked with about 10 different players and now only interested in players that have HTML5 functionality and this one gets my vote!

I'd tried many components for my live tv website but not pleased with many of them; but all the components are good. But this has stunned me on the first look and when I started using this component I am pleased with the way this component worked.
I hope to write a single line review "very good" but this component deserves more.
I hope the developers would make this component to support vimeo videos in the future.
All in all, this is a best component that I am honored to recommend all the fellow developers.

I am writing my first review about a product here. This is an awesome product, easy to install and has been a grace to watch it working. I would recommend this to newbies of Joomla to try this component.

I am working on a non-profit site. I am impressed with the player and asked the Developers to give me commercial package to use on my site. They asked my details and they readily gave the package which is working fine. The support for the non-commercial users is also fantastic. Thank you developers.
By far this has been the best of the viewers I have tried. Almost all of them I have tried worked but this one, even though in some cases takes a little more effort to setup on the back end, is well worth it. Very easy to include menuing system based on categories. Had one question, which ended up being a coding error on my end, in which they identified and recommended a working fix all within a few hours.
As a relatively inexperienced user, I have tried out several video extensions for a family website I am building, using Joomla 1.7. I am very happy with the HD Webplayer. The extension is very easy to install and to use and it does exactly what I need and has practical parameters for customization.
The support team is simply exceptional! They have patiently looked into my questions (many of which were not caused by the HD Webplayer, but rather by my relative inexperience with Joomla) and promptly responded with very helpful advice - outstanding!
I have come across no critical caveats with this extension. This is a tough benchmark for any other video extension to get close to!

The player works great and allows playlists which is perfect. The support is amazing...I had a few questions and they answered me within minutes. I would recommend it to anyone. It also looks very sharp. Thanks to the developers!
I was searching for a good component for a player which could:
- play videos from youtube using a plugin
- play my videos (uploaded or direct url)
- supported GoogleAds
This component can all of them, which is absolutely great and make it more flexible. What i miss there are:
- More skins for the player
- More options to set-up the player (share options and so)
- More option to set-up and display the ads like in different components this kind (max. time of the ads, more formats and so on).
Hope this will be added in the next version.

However, the work for the next version is in progress and this time we had a lot more to add on the player. Here is my experience with this developer, I have tried different Joomla video players and I was not happy with the results.
I found and installed HD Webplayer in my online TV website and few month later I decided to change the name of my website, they helped me to do that without charging me.
I am happy with this component because it helped me to have better looking website with a functional video player.
Few moth later, I asked them to do the customization based on my needs and they did it fast.
I just started another TV website and I am using HD WebPlayer. Thank you

I installed the HD webplayer in my site, it's a really good extension. The onlyone problem is the support. The webplayer is not working in the internet explorer. I posted in the forum my problem but the administrator of the forum didn't allow my post. It's not a good way to treat your customers. If you can't solve my problem, i can't recomend this extension. If a extension doesnt work in the internet explorer, it's a serious problem. i'm just putting this review because i sen't a message in the site too and i got no reply, here is the onlyone way i found.

I really apologize for the inconvenience caused. I am really surprised that your post has not been confirmed. I did a thorough inquiry and I found out that your forum post has been automatically deleted. The real problem is we face a lot of spam forum posts every day, hence we have a software program that would detect the spam threads and would delete it automatically. Your case is the first one where this program went wrong. Anyhow, this is the problem from our side and we fixed it now.
By the way, I would also request our customers to send us mail to support@hdwebplayer.com which would be promptly replied with a solution, since senior developers would handle mails.
