DenVideo have better cross-browser support, with the embed technic called flashsatay flowing w3 standards and generating valid XHTML for flash based medias.
Now You can select different players to, and use remote URLs as your default dir too!
Now is possible to play mp3 files, windows media formats, and DivX videos using the divX webPlayer. Users now have advanced configuration options using the global plugin parameters, you can select what player you wish to use for MP3 or FLV medias, Set youtube API params and JW params. But, fear not! It still as easy as before to play any format, all you need is the good and old {denvideo URL} tag into your article, or {denvideo URL Width Height Autostart}, those parameters are optional if not set they will load the default plugin params.
JW Player is the worlds most famous open source FLV player on the web JW can also play MP3, FLV, SWF, H264 or playlists. DenVideo is the 1st joomla plugin to use the last version 4.0, JW can be fully customized on denVideo advanced parameters.
1PixelOut is a top ratted mp3 player for joomla that has been added to denVideo 3.0 it can be used to play mp3 files instead of JW Player.

It only seems to support individual media files, rather than link to a directory. Pity, was looking forward to using it as well... :-/

This is the only player I have found so far that does what I need, I wish there were more like this.
I used this module for our business.
I only don't know if copying the plugin to apply different colours for the border will work just as well...

Easy to install, simple to configure exactly what I was looking for a long time.
I put a clip in an article after viewing it shows similar video clips that can be found on youtube ... so I have a small question: Is there a setting to show only my video clips like a video gallery?

As the video came from youtube the video clips are given from it, so is the possible to do not show then but there is no way for youtube to know what videos you loaded on your site galery
It is a video player and good is free
Don't know if this is still being developed, but if it is - adding a thumbnail-image on the video would really make this perfect. The black video-window is just sad to see.
Other than that - this does exactly what it is supposed to. Installs like a charm, and embeds video of all kinds in your content.
I use it on several sites with both wmv and avi, and no problems at all.
