Now I desperately need to download updates and modules but cant access support tickets or the downloads section.
I used the email (Support@jomtube.com) several times with no response.
Take the money and run? Maybe...I hope not.
Somebody is on holiday over at JomTube.
So having the bought a subscription I asked for the customization quote... no response from the email. No problems I thought, perhaps I should open a support ticket, that's bound to get a response... bah, yeah right. So I thought I'd go on the forum only to find ignored emails and about 6 months worth of broken promises and pitiful excuses of times less pleasant. So I thought I complain through paypal... he was bound to respond to that... nah. Paypal dispute... they ruled against me saying it was outside of their policy and could only enforce judgements if I'd purchased through ebay.
So what was the conclusion of this tale of woe? Actually it had a happy ending... I found hwdvideoshare which not only is a fantastic piece of kit it also has literally the best support I've ever experienced. If you need anymore convincing check out http://www.subfighter.tv - the developers showcase site - oooops, sorry you can't because the site is down. Go to their forum... just watch out for the Russian porn that has spammed it... but in between the tempting offers of Baltic brides you'll see numerous other unhappy customers. I may not be able to get my money back because the ignorant developer refuses to get his head out of the sand, but I can hopefully stop other people from making the same mistake!!!!!
Kindest regards,
Gav
I was apprehensive about purchasing this mod because of the couple of dings that it got here, but against my better judgment I purchased it anyway.
I'm not sure what to say about the mod because I don't have it. But if the service is a representation on the product, then it's trouble.

I personally got an awesome support from the team some months ago and had some of my bugs fixed by the developers.
Overall, talking to people and getting some bugs fixed (I am not a php coder), I got exactly what I needed, a multi use video gallery working as well with local conversion as with remote servers.
Also, this component get a "plus" to be easily integrated in any template, unlike others components of the same kind that require heavy css customization to be integrated
So I opened a ticket on the support website the 23th of september.
I tried again the 25th and then the 2nd of october but no answer ! I am still waiting by the way... This the worst extension ever and the worst support you could imagine.
I bought a product which does not correctly work, so I have deleted it and now I am running hwdVideoShare which is free and problem free !
5 stars for hwdVideoShare and if I could, I would have given 0 star for Jomtube but the minimum mandatory is 1....
Well from 1 start to 5 stars.. In anycase its Nov 1 and i am finishing up the 1.1.1 as it will have squashed most of the bugs as i been heavily testing everything. but look for many new things to be released soon.. as there a ton of work going on behind the scenes.
And Making things to the 1.6 MVC as there will be many good things to come once 1.6 and the ACL Permission will finally be here..
Thanks for the support..
P. Mark
well a 1 star come on.. Does not matter as you can see its been operating on live on my other site since April. 1.1.1 will be released soon.. As I have been study all the MVC and a have been updating all the Remote Plugins Section Etc..
There will be weekly releases after this comes out. The product works the problem is that this is sophisticated Component and requires your server to be setup correctly. Most problems are do to the server configuration..
Well Good Luck
