My first comment is for this extension.
GOOD:
- Great support! (they attended to all my problems with jquery).
- Easy to use and configure.
-It´s free! (the paid version only remove the logo)
Bad:
It doesn't accept other server (only youtube & Vimeo) and not include the spanish translate.(i´m spanish but i translate the extension to spanish)

Thanks for your review and suggestions. In default we are supporting Youtube and Vimeo videos. But we do other server supports based on customer request and also we are constantly updating our package for new requested features. Hence we are planning to provide language packs(English, Spanish, French and German, Brazilian Portuguese) with the default package on our next version.

Writing the review for the first time, I am very much impressed with the component and the free theme provided along with the component. It seems that I can setup the site just for $149 since the theme is A class.
I am using this free version of product for a month and i am very much impressed with the way that how i am able to manage videos. If you release more themes then i will surely think about this commercial version.

I was looking for a good component for video gallery when i stumbled upon ContusHDVideoShare.
I installed the version ti test it.
Very good manual and easy installation. Categories and a lot of things. You can use it for sharing videos, if you want somebody to submit a video (very easy).
Unfortunately there is a conflict with joomfish right now as copied from their forum 'Right now, the Joomfish feature is not applicable for HDvideoshare. You can download and use once we add the feature in HDvideoshare' and videos cannot be played if you have joomfish.
Also the price is i think very high for my budget if you want the company's logo to be removed.
So i will unistall it and wait for the newer version to see.

Been testing other components for some time now, but this one takes the cake.

I want to thank the developers for the oppoturnity to use their software. I probably won't buy because it's been used on my personal site. But if I ever use it on a commercial site or decide to make a videotube-like site I sure as hell will buy this sweet piece of code.

So far, this is the best video gallery in Joomla today. There's no need to convert any videos you just upload one from your computer or put your YouTube video URL and voila! You're done.
It's really easy to install, too. It's just a component, not a plug-in. I don't even really use the the extra modules that come with it. Just install through your Joomla back-end administrator page, then make a new menu and your front-end website automatically has a video gallery that's all your own.
But here's why I don't give it five stars:
1) It doesn't accept all formats (I couldn't upload WMV), but it takes a lot of other types so it's not the end of the world
2) It has a steep price tag, but there's really no difference in the free version except for their logo, but it's not that obtrusive. (I just use the free version)
3) You have to register to download, but that takes only five seconds
All in all, I'm VERY pleased with this component extension. No other extension component is plug & play. Compare it to their rival plugin, Jvideo, but that's only if you have FFMPEG hosting (if you don't it's a pain to install, although it's much cheaper in the short run).
I feel like this component does a generous amount to small websites like mine, even though their steep asking price is insane, but probably only meant for high-yield customers so it's justified. Who knows, it may get lower once another rival steps in.
But until that happens, you cannot go wrong with this extension. You would have to be pretty clueless or a complete Joomla beginner to not easily install this puppy.

This module is a great module. It serves all your video sharing needs, as it both allow users to upload their own videos and share videos from youtube and google video.
The Contus team is also very responsive, as they attended to all my problems on time and even went into my administrative interface to modify my component when I was experiencing problems.

I've used or experimented with about 10 different video players for Joomla & I've had my best experience with HD Video Share.
The CMS is user friendly yet pretty robust. The Video sharing community potential is awesome.

Now video content on the internet still have its challenges & I have ran into some small issues with HD Video Share(as with any Open Source extension). However, I am happy to report that the HD Video Share team is very good about support. My questions are usually answered in a few hours & they will usually dig through my site to fix my bugs.

Great extension it provides a lot of nice clean functionality.
One thing that seems to be missing though is the video pages don't paginate. This limits you to the number of videos you specify in your settings. It would be great if this could be added on.

Looks a good ext but can't realy test it 'cos that silly logo over the save and cancel button in admin panel. How can owner say that the only difference between free and paid version is the logo on the player! not mentioning the horrible big logo covering the buttons on admin panel. Very misleading.

There was no false promise are misleading. It is true that the only difference is the demo logo on the player. Otherwise all the features remains same on both demo and the commercial version

First of all I award this extension 4 stars because having tested it (as far as it would allow me) and made a few changes to suit my template, it really is excellent.

It is definitely a COMMERCIAL extensions although it describes itself as non-commercial. Sorry guys but if you tell lies you will be found out.
In fact it is a trial version and to make sure it stays that way there is a logo image over the admin buttons so you can't do a great deal with the settings unless you resize the logo image to reveal them.
It isn't cheap either but maybe the support is worth the cost - I don't know because I've uninstalled it and although I'm happy to pay for extensions, it isn't a good sign when they are sold under misleading information.
I like the extension but I don't like being misled or wasting my time with soemthing that isn't as described. Maybe the Joomla people would like to have a peek to see if it conforms to guidelines?

Thanks for your detailed feedback and we value it a lot.
Also, Please be informed that the reason for mentioning it as non-commercial version is because the free download has 100% features equal to the commercial version and there are no encryption codes or kind of hidden agenda between free and commercial version. The only diffrence between the free vs commercial version is the our logo removal from our video player, thats it. If the customer dont mind having our logo then he doest have to pay anything to anybody. he will get the fully funtional and customizable extention.
We even give support to our users who uses both kind of the extention.
Please note, we don't have any reason for giving a misguiding information here because its all obvious when the user goes to our website to download the extention. However, based on your feedback we feel there is a chance that the few of our users might not get the logic behind it. So we decided change it to commercial.

It's very usefull, easy to install and easy to use. It's the best thing you can use for categorized movies and clips and works very fine!

I was using their other product HDFLVPlayer and I was a very big fan of that extension. Now when I use HDVideoshare, I become a fan of their company, Contus Support. WOW! I always impressed by their support. Thanks for such a great product and support.
