For Users

All this friend needed is the password for this channel assigned by channel owner.
Not only channels can be shared, groups and even a single video can be shared by users using the same method.

my experiences with JvideDirect have rekindled my faith in Joomla Developers as a whole...these guys are the bees freakin knees man....
and to top it off...the component itself is already so great to begin with...

only small problem is the lack of plugins for several portals and the ability to insert the component into a site map (X-map, etc. ..) but the project was started recently and will certainly be implemented.

You were the one who have suggested XMap plugin when we first release jVideoDirect, right?
XMap plugin was released together with Version 1.1RC last week. Beside, we have added more plugins for other platforms and SEF plugins too.

We remember you. You are the only one who have approached our Professional Service for Converter Installation Service ...
If you can remember how we reply you, you should be ok.
First, we let you decide do you really need a converter, and explained to you that, this is only required if you need to upload videos from desktop. Otherwise you can still fetch videos from other supported platform.
Secondly, we have also explained to you that you required a dedicated server or vps plan for converter to be installed.
Thirdly, we asked for access for server checkup make sure we can deliver before we take the job.
and lastly, we have quoted you 60euro for the job to be done.
Beside, we have a very clear instruction on how-to install converter, right in the main page of our website.
And we have given a very responsive support to you, even you are not a subscriber with support.
We believe we have already done the best for you.
Sorry that jVideoDirect doesn't suit you, and i must tell you that, YES, it is buggy, cause it's in beta version and it's only out in the market for only 7 weeks.
However, if you do a little bit search in our forum, you can be able to know that a version 1.1 rc1 will be out next week with lots of bug fix.

Its a large file so it has to be uploaded and unpacked in the "tmp" directory to install, otherwise install will fail. But it is well worth it the effort. Some aspects are a bit fiddly to configure but they are working to simply that as well, as add more features. Well worth switching to if you are frustrated with other video components that lack the continuous development that this one is obviously getting. A very good addition to Joomla functionality. Well done !
