However, what I still really desire is a component that can output a pure Section List, not a list of Category Lists. Unless I'm missing something, this is not that component, but I would hope that future versions move toward offering this as well as the current display.
Also, I really wish it put out an RSS feed. Unless it's a problem on my end, I can't get an RSS feed on this, even though I use it for one of the more important pages of my website with lots of new content.
But, regards to the developer. You started something good here and I hope that open source status will push development of this extension forward.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Personally I wont add sh404sef support as I don't need it, sorry. But its open source.... so everyone can do whatever he wants. :)
Works beautifully, except how do I get the Article Title to not to link. I've made the correct parameter selection in the menu. I've also made them in the articles themselves. The article titles still seem to link.
If I can figure out how to add sectionEx menu items successfully with SEF URLs enabled, this would most certainly be a 5-star review.
Hi, SectionEx works with SEO. Just check my Demo-site. If you will google around the WEB you will also find other sites which successfully use it with SEO.
All reports that it doesn't work with SEO until now were due some wrong settings on a site itself - which usually don't have much to do with SectionEx. Please check the Joomla documentation for how to set up SEO correctly.
Kind Regards,
Robert
SEO options enable will cause SectionEX misbehave.
Here is the detail for my observation:
1:: SEO enable (Admin page -> Global Configuration setting)
Under SectionEX option :: Menu and Pathway Behavior
When it set to Front page like article links :: ->
Page article title link did not point to the correct article.
For example::
SectionEX menu show Article Title :: How to install CamStduio on Windows but it actually point to how to install openoffice.org on windows. All titles did not link to the right articles
PDF icon and Print icon behave normal
When it set to SectionEx like Article Links :: ->
All article titles point to the right articles. However, joomla build in PDF and Print function will not work. It show 505 pages not found.
I would love to get this extension working with the SEO setting. If anyone comes across the work around for the issues I listed above, could you please share your resolution with us?
Thanks in advance for all your helps and suggestions.
Best regards,
Gary Wong

Hi, SectionEx works fine with SEO. You can check my demo site or google for other sites around the WEB which are using SectionEx. "jeroenla's" site didn't work because something was wrong with his installation.
About the Print and PDF Icons: Please read the SectionE FAQ. It is quite short and will answer your question.
Kind Regards,
Robert
Many possibilities of configurations.
Very easy to install and configure (I'm newbie).
THX MAN!!!
It works great, and the admin is really straightforward and flexible.
If I could request one thing it would be a bit more unique styles for individual elements of the page, such as article title... but it's easy enough to edit default_article.php file to make that happen.
thanks for an awesome component!
Only it has one major downside: when I use the SEO option in 1.5.3, SectionEx dies. Whenever you try to visit the page, it gives a 404. If it wasn't for that, I'd have given it a lot higher rating... sorry.
Hi jeroenla, it does work with Joomla 1.5.3 (as it did with 1.5.2, 1.5.1, and 1.5.0). My demo-site runs Joomla! 1.5.3 now, with SectionEx and SEO enabled.
Best Regards, Robert
