NOW 100% IE7, IE8 & IE9 friendly! Flyout Tabs © 2011 by GraphicAholic is a GPL Joomla! module. You can use Flyout Tabs to display a series of tabbed images on the left hand side of your browser that will fly open when you hover your mouse over them. This module will display up to FIFTEEN (15) tabs in a very pleasing 'eye-candy' way and it's potential is endless only to your imagination. Flyout Tabs uses the jQuery Library script that must be loaded through the module settings or from another jQuery application you currently have installed (Joomla 1.5 only). With the release of v1.0.9, I coded into the core Flyout Tabs code an 'auto-detect / auto-load' jQuery Library command (Joomla 2.5 only). Because Joomla 3.x pre-loads the jQuery Library, there is no need to worry about this! This module has been tested and tested and tested again and found to be bug free, feature rich and crazy fun to use! Download it and take it out for a test-drive. I'm sure you'll find a need for it within your Joomla website.
I found a minor bug that was solved in a few hours. Nothing really important but the person after this extension fixed it up for the community in a snap.
Try it and you won't stop using it.
suelasrotas, Thank you for your very kind review and comments regarding my Flyout Tabs extension. I'm still looking into the colorpicker issue your having and should have a solution shortly!
Really fine and fully workly extension on J1.5, and fully compatible with kunena forum)
Good Job !!
4 stars !!
- Why limit to 7 menu maximum
- Just be possible to open link into a sizable popup window and 5 stars next time
ELioT, thanks for your kind review and suggestions. I trust you received my revised release offering additional usable tabs.
Would be even more incredible if you could include modules in a side tab... ooh la la!!!
codeless, thanks for your review, suggestion and kind words about Flyout Tabs. Maybe soon I'll be able to turn your "ooh la la" into "ooh done done!"
Installation, set-up were easy and documentation is adequate.
Dear OBx2, Thanks for your kind review. I could not agree with you more regarding 'documentation is adequate'. This is an area I'll be working on improving with the next release.
One request to the developer: Can you please as an example insert for new users info for one tab with a path to the image and the home page. I tried five module positions, but did not see the tabs on the site. It took me a while to figure out that you first need to fill out the path to the image and the link before the tab is shown on the site.
Great work. We give five stars to the developer.
Dear Gmaassen, Thanks for your kind review and suggestion regarding a default set-up for one of the tabs. I started out with this feature but took it away for a number of reasons. Will look into improving the documentations for this with the next release.
