The Joomla! Extensions Directory ™

Article Placed Anywhere Module

This module simply displays a selected article in a module position. Put articles anywhere! Articles can be edited from the frontend as well if the user has adequate permissions. You can also optionally display the articles title, category, author, hits, etc.

This has been forked and modified to be Joomla 2.5/3.x compatible from Ian MacLennan's CustomContent Module for Joomla 1.5 (no longer listed in the JED).

This module does exactly what I was looking for. Easy to install, easy to customise.

It is perfect because you don't need to use any short codes like {loadarticle xxx} etc. Simple, easy and effective.

Does exactly what it says, simply and quickly. I needed a paypal "donate" button on our church's web site but I wanted it in the left position rather than an article position. Found this extension. Five minutes later, it's up and done. I'd give it more stars if I could.

Was desperate for anything just to be able to execute the website based on my proposed design done via Photoshop. Found out that no extension is able to display my feature articles the way I designed them. Then I stumbled into this wonderful plugin and my problem was solved. It worked like a charm. Installed easily on my Joomla 2.5 without any hitch. Thanks for making this extension. You made my day.

This is a great extension. The only thing about this is the "read more" button. I cant personalize or use a css class of my template for the read mor button. I would like to personalize like articles anywhere of no number extensions

Simple, light and clean. I was looking for the way to allow my client to modify one module content based on HTML without giving him access to Module menu. That's the way! Create a module, assign an article to it and afterwards user can modify the contents from Article edition menu. It's great! (I was afraid the client changed some module configuration... now I know he only modifies articles).

Very easy to use with great UI.
It even works with articles' plugins.

I have zero complains about this module. It does exactly what it is supposed to.

Pros: Works, easy to use and takes only a couple minutes to get an article set up.

CONS: None that I can see other than it would be cool to be able to select multiple articles to be placed.

All in all it works great and good job. Thank you for creating this extensions it's already proven useful in more than one instance. Keep up the good work. :)

Very nice extension, especially if you want ability to edit articles in module positions from front-end.
We noticed only one minor problem. Published and modified date of article is always current.

I have been using this module for about 2 months now. Installed the latest update in a new website and had problems with it. Contacted the developer Hartless at about 10PM local time and had a reply and solution when I woke up. The module works exactly as advertised and the support is great! Thanks!

This extention enable to insert an article in a module position. This is the only one which works correctly with PHP 5.4 and joomla 3.0.2.
And the icing on the cake, the support is very fast and efficient.

Works like a charm to allow embed of singular articles in any module position.

This will entirely replace for me the Custom HTML module, as it allows for front-end editing capability.

I like the simple parameters (similar to menu item->single article) rather than inserting/embedding an article such as the articles anywhere extension, which can have presentation issues if you use JCE or something similar with automatic content-wrapping.

Thanks for creating this and most of all for offering it freely!

Finaly direct editing text directly in a module!

Works right out of the box. I've made a small modification so the edit icon appears right under the content.

Great job, tanxs.

I've used Joomla for years. Finally, finally, finally a simple module that allows front-end editing. Perfect for the business/marketing type websites that I manage. Now my clients can invent their own punchy calls to action - and they dont have to get all confused in the backend about what goes where...or email me with the update request!

Oh, and no hassles with install, and multiple modules on the same page seems no problem. Thanks to the developer

This is a nice extension and I am pleased to offer the first review. The exntension does exactly what it is claimed to be able to do with ease and no fuss. As for support - the speed and ease in which Alan resolved a bug and re-released the extension is to be congratulated.
