Description

IceTabs module marks another immense milestone at IceTheme. We can say without any single doubt that this module is one of the best ever built Joomla Extensions by our club and also on all the Joomla! market as well. But... why?!
First let's describe what is the scope of the IceTab module.
IceTab module can display any content/banner/images/K2/VirtueMart information with a smooth and nice interface based on the tabular interface. So to describe more clearly, you may display your Joomla content and this is the primary scope of this module but you may easily use it to be a image gallery by switching to the "image" mode. Also you may use to display content from the popular K2 extension an to display products from the VirtueMart extension. The IceTab module is bult-in all parameters needed so that you have the possibility to adjust perfectly in the way you like.

mi problema es cuando Select Module Mode banner, solo me muestra la lista de categoria de clientes pero en Categories Selection no me muestra nada, y en la pagina el modulo no me permite visualizar los banners q tengo pucblicado, lo demas perfecto...
Great alternative to the paid RokStories with comparable results. Very easy to use and configure. I love it for what it is, but I did run into a few things I didn't like.
I don't like setting the description length in characters. This can lead to articles that are too long due to new lines, as they only count as a single character, but that's not a real issue.
Also, the HTML doesn't validate. Not a big deal as everything displays properly in all the major browsers, but if you have an article description which hits the max chars limit, it doesn't add the closing tag. Seems like an oversight on the dev's part, but like I said, it still displays properly. I don't think most people would care.

I do like this 1.6 module, easy to use and install. I had some small issues which was addressed very quickly in there forum.

I chose to use Icetabs over rokstories because of a number of incompatibilities I wanted to side-step, the module works well, looks good and does what it should but for some very odd reason the image resizing is out o whack size wise.
As an example I choose to have a 200pixel hhigh image in the news pane, if the image is resized by my other modules (depending on its category) it comes in at a quite reasonable size but in Icetabs it seems very high in comparison. a 1024x700 XL size image in K2 at 65kb cropped to 200x150 still comes up around 30kb...

This extension looks good at first, but is just not functional. I tried several times to get this to work, but to no avail. Here is why:
1. I created 2 articles. Used the default black theme. I disabled the navigation, the arrows don't work.
2. In another instance, I created 4 tabs. I wanted to place 2 images in an article that has a tab associated with it. The tab shows nothing, its just blank.
I tried to get support for these issues. I will say support is fast and friendly, but not very useful.
I really wanted to make this work, and it really can be a good module, but it just did not work for my needs, which were not that complicated.

It's very buggy. It will totally break Joomla if used in an article with {loadposition myposition} and set to "content" mode - all that happens is a blank page.
K2 content does work fine regardless of where the module is placed.
Module does not display Virtuemart items in any position. I've duplicated this on my personal development server as well as live websites as well as posted a thread on the developers website but no help there.
I have to say I do like the way it can fade articles into each other but for Virtuemart it's worthless at least on the servers I've tested it on. I posted configuration details of the servers at the developer's website.

- However as a side note the VirtueMart mode is working very fine. you might check the IT WineStore template

- Also regarding the loadposition it is working very fine also and we will use this great module with the loadposition option on our main website icetheme.com which we are just about to finish.
