Now we have released the Joomla1.6 compatible module as well.
Now we have released the Joomla1.7 compatible module as well.
I spent ages scouring through all the news flash mods trying to find something to replace my previous db8 newsflash mod that had worked so well for me in J1.5 but wasn't upgraded to 2.5.
This mod proved to be IT. Where others showed whole articles or images, were scrollers or marquees etc, all I wanted was something to literally provide a short list of the latest news items with a link to the respective article, which it does perfectly.
My only request would be to have a dropdown selection for the category rather than having to chase off hunting for its ID number. Many newbies would never have spotted this as the way of selecting the correct category, & left to its own devices it points more to the most recently changed articles in the root - not always what's desired.
Overall - a perfect and simple, easily installed & very easy to use mod. THANKS!

This great little module allows performs the simple task of publishing article content to a module position in a wonderfully elegant way. A great extension to the core Joomla function. Thansk for releasing it.
