You can select the Category ID or Section ID and it will automatically pull articles from that and display on the module in a nice vertical sliding manner.
Vertical News Slider is a great news module for Joomla, where you can define the categories from which the articles will be pulled automatically. This module can also pull the images from the articles automatically and resize them automatically. You can define the image dimensions to resize. You can also define the number of character. To be pulled to show on the intro text of the module show. Also, define whether you want to show read more or not. When you click on the read more, it will automatically take you to the full article view. You can define the speed of the sliding animation.
