Ultimate Content Display

"Ultimate Content Display" (or UCD for short) can fetch and display your Joomla! content or newsfeed items in any module position in 3 different ways. In a plain (unordered) list format, inside an ajax cross-fader or inside a jQuery-based cross-fader/slider! 3 unique ways to display your content or newsfeed items!
So you can have for example a "latest news" side module, along with a cross fader box that retrieves content from a specific category dynamically and a content slider, acting as a "newsflash" box! Pretty cool, right?
The "Ultimate Content Display" module is actually the evolution of JoomlaWorks' popular "Ultimate AJAX Newsflash" and "Content Items Fading Scroller" modules and has been developed with ease of use and... practicality in mind! It's the kind of module you "set and forget", cause it simply works! Plus, it can help you create powerful Joomla! based portal websites, which require various types of "content" or "info" boxes, floating around your main content.
The module is entirely CSS based, with a unique "neutral" styling to match your website's design.
The release of the "Ultimate Content Display" module also marks the retirement of the "Ultimate AJAX Newsflash" and "Content Items Fading Scroller" modules. We advise all existing users of the replaced modules to upgrade to this new product, as it combines and expands their functions.

Thanks for a Wonderful Share
UCD is no exception to that rule. It does exactly what the developers say it will do and enhances your content display.
To the developers, Great work and Thank you for another great extension.
I will be donating to the pizza fund on this one.
I had a problem with the module displaying all of the content on page load. I looked in the forums and found no solution or even answer from the developer.
This I find a little out of order, especially as after a little digging I found out how to fix it.
If you want to stop the module displaying all the content it will rotate on pageload, edit the css and add display:none to ul.ucd_jqueryfader li.ucd_item.
Fixes it nicely.
Very useful
Worked great from the get go, with very easy to understand instructions.
A suggestion to make it an even better extension: add support for manual transition (arrows). This way user can navigate as they wish.
Thanks!
I found this extension and installed / configured it in literally less than 2 minutes and it does the job perfectly.
My client will be stocked, many thanks indeed :)
There could be a problem with ISO/UTF8 encoding (chars like è, ù, ...), in this case, go here for resolution:

Another problem could be that is not possibile to set transparent background... But it can be manually modified in code.
Although a slideshow is not the intended purpose of this module, it does it very well-- fully html customizable.

Be advised, however, that it will generate a W3C validation problem:
Line 142, Column 37: document type does not allow element "style" here.
My only other beef is that the text is a little shaky on load. A minor problem, however.
After searching for an all in one product for ages - along comes UCD, allowing me to use Joomla's standard content layout and display everything I want, where I want it, in the style I want it!
I can now have a constant news feed in the top left displaying all content, whilst clicking on a link to a team takes you to all their results, or clicking on a link to a league takes you to all that league's results.
RESULT!
thankyou UCD, I shall let you know how I get on...

The only drawback thus far is an error that rears its ugly head with some IE users. Cannot replicate the error in Opera or Firefox, but IE6 & 7 the page will not completely load and error stops the page load.
If using one of the alternative browsers then have at this great module!!!
If someone made a recommendation to you, then you ain't got "poor forum support". The fact that you're using windows-XXXX encoding should worry you most. ;)
