It's quite similar to K2 but better category style, while i like good looking category style, that's why i used this component. However the problem is it's hard to figure out the search function(it's called lof showcase filter) which to me is a big problem.I installed all types of search plugin but none worked.i'm a little regret to installed this component because it took me quite a lot of time to upload hundreds of products with SEO ready metadata and now it's impossible to switch to K2. There is no much documentation and community support neither.I'm wondering why the author did not just create some good looking K2 category themes without renaming K2 to Lof showcase?
Seems would be a nice extension, but... Can't get it to work normally at all. I'm using Joomla 2.5, I get it installed and working on my backend, but many things seem not to work properly on the front. Some fields are displayed even if I choose not to display them everywhere possible (in items/categories), for example - the category name, item hits, descriptions, bookmarks, comments box (though empty captcha doesnt even alow to post them). On the other hand, can't get the thumbnails displayed, just broken images. So what got me excited on the demo then got me totally disappointed and frustrated trying this out. I really hope it can be made to work as it would be a very nice and useful extension. Maybe the issue with 2.5 compatibility? The info says nothing about it.
I can't believe that nobody's reviewed this before. I just used it a few weeks ago for the first time and it's a great little extension.
