Content Reactor ComponentModule

jQuery based Content SlideShow Projector with separate image and text areas. It is intended to be used for bringing life to your website.

User can set different transaction effects for image and text areas by selecting them from drop-down list. The layout of projector is very flexible and configurable via external css file. Thus, user can choose size and position of main container, as well as of image and text areas, set desirable font family, size and color, include links.

Works with no problems in Joomla natively - scripts are run in jQuery no conflict mode. Based on jquery.cycle plugin, with some additional effects and nice-and-easy backend administration.

I was looking for a module that can display my articles as a featured articles rotator.

After installing and testing this component and module, I must admit that as a slideshow, it might work very well. But this is not the section for this. Contentreactor should be moved to the image section as it is only a plain imagerotator.

There is no possibility to choose an article to link to. There is no possibility to choose a picture already on your site. You have to upload it and then remember the link to it as there is only a box available to write the link in, no browsing and inserting. This really pulls down this component.

The options for changing between the slides are very extensive. But since I came to this section for something else than a slideshow, I will rate it according to that, and as it has absoluely nothing to do with content in the form of news/articles, I can not give it anything but the lowest mark.

Really good component to show a slideshow of pictures AND text in any module position !
It would be even more perfect if it could display an article as well, not just a picture or a text that has to be typed into the components interface... maybe this is an encouragement for the authors to improve it even more. Nevertheless, thank you very much for this great work !
Created an account just to post this. This extension looks great and works perfectly. I think it is on par with Frontpage Slideshow.

Tons of options and possibilities.

Only issue I had was that I was using PHP4 and the admin requires php5. Easy fix and totally my problem.
