Tried various others and this was the one I chose.

It's quite simple, good tooltips, good use of optional custom class.

Does not offer some of the options found in other Latest-news mods but it's well styled, simple and solid.

Well done!

Nice module. I´m new to Joomla and this is the first extension I install on my website. Very good.

Please let me know if there is a way to have the news listed in an unordered way but without the scroll on each line. I think it's not an issue with your module; however, do you have any suggestion you can help me with?

Cheers,

Pedro Ferreira

You have make a great module. I have only one question. Is it possible to build in the possibility for random include or exclude of one or more category's and sections? Something like you already did for frontpage, but then for each available category and section.

Excellent module. This should be the default latest news module for Joomla. Works great, easy to tweak and customize. Bravo.

Great replacement for the default module. Multiple and configurable display options makes it a very good choice to spruce up your site. The only issue is that I can't use the forum to look up resolutions to issues without paying. As such I can't find out a solution as to why, when using the Display Date = Modification Date articles that have not been modified show up as 1999 instead of the creation date. So I have it set to creation date not to get the year 1999 but that means I cannot bubble up recently modified articles. If I could, I might have given this 5 stars.

Great mod! Really helped me out on my site.

I'm wondering though, is there a way to remove the ordering all together? I understand that numbering can be removed, but I'd love a way for a 'no ordering' choice.

I'd be forever grateful if you would look into it.

Thanks!

This seemed a very promising extension for me, but unfortunately the articles don't get translated (Joomfish). It seems this extension is not compatible with the Joomfish and therefor not usable for multi-language sites.
It would also be nice to be able to put the date in front of the articles.

This is the one stop for all article listing module for 1.5. It looks organized and presentable for website Press Release and Announcement displays.

Great addon. But can't I remove the article number ? If I ask for more than 10 articles, I get a count 1 to 9 every ten articles.
Owner's reply

This is indeed a useful improvement to the latestnews module. It gives more flexibility to lists of articles, in an easy way.

I use it on a large website to generate lists of recently published booksand other printed materials (in various categories). Fenris Latest Articles helps me to add the date of publication to each link.

Nice out-of-the-box solution!
I liked font style and losts of options for date format!

Could you make an option to display the date above the text?
Owner's reply

The option is added to the new version.
