This module is a replica of the newsflash module, but simply provides two extra options in addition to Default (random), Horizontal, and Vertical.
When using the Elegant Logic Newsflash module, you will also have the options of:
* Horizontal-Random
* Vertical-Random.
The additional options are the same as their counterparts, except they have a simple piece of code added which randomises the array of articles before it is displayed.
I hope someone else finds this useful!
UPDATE (v1.0.1): Articles are now randomised BEFORE they are selected, so you truly get a random display of articles when you set a limit.
I was looking for this kind of newsflash.
There is only one thing that is bad.
"No. of Items" should represent a "no." of articles to display from all articles in selected category, not only first "no." from selected category.
example: "If i have category with 8 articles, and i set No. of Items to 2, then it should be displaying 2 random articles of that 8, not only the first two from category"
