This plugin is used to display the "More from this author" listing as well as "Related Articles" listing below the article which is being displayed. JomSocial and Community Builder support is another interesting attraction to this plugin.
The related articles will be searched based on the Title of the article so you need not enter any Meta information in the articles.
You can limit the sections and categories. The extension has a visual sections/categories selector which eases the pain of selecting multiple sections and categories at a time.
* Added support for corejoomla jQuery plugin. Now you can display the suggestions in jQuery UI tabs or Joomla tabs.

I used the module version of article suggestions, and it is great. My site has an unusual structure with articles that are recordings and titles that are little more than addresses. I therefore wanted both to change the tab titles and to limit the search criteria for similar articles to metadata keywords. The developer got back to me with the solutions at lightening speed and I
couldn't be more happy.

Module and Plugin are nice extensions and flexible once you get to know them. Both needed little fixes in Joomla 1.6, but support answered fast and they send fix right along. You can translate extension using language files. Good support and nice extensions. One issue is that extensions tabs break when you enable mavik thumbnails plugin with e.g. highslide image popup. This might be caused by 3rd party extension.
I have been member of corejoomla since last 1 year for their Polls component. Their support is outstanding.
Couple of weeks back I requested developer to add MyBlog support to the Article suggesion. Even showed interest to pay for this extra custom request. The developer not only politely denied my donation but assured me this feature in next version.
What a surprise when I saw Myblog support with latest release.
I thank whole heartedly to him for X'mas gift.

The author exclusively attended to my requests and also fixed and added some 4 to 5 issues and features very quickly. The plugin is supurb and I have tried lot of other plugins for related articles and this one is the best, as it compares article title against all other article titles which no other plugin does. Save some time. You dont need meta keywords anymore. Also rememember to add all blacklist keywords or exclude keywords well and this works like a gem. I was looking for this kind of plugin for ages as I dont have meta keywords or proper keywords set for articles. Also you would need to customize this plugin to your needs to get the best out of it. It works for me and I am sure with little tweaking it will satisfy you !!
With the latest updates the author has made to this extension, this baby is pretty much a must own for me. The plug-in improves page views per user, which is vital for any site owner. From related articles, to other stories the author has written, to other articles in the same category to the most popular stories, to the most viewed stories, the tabbed format allows for a lot of options to display with lots of formatting options now available as well. As an example, you can decide if you want to show the only certain content from specific sections/categories, or you can change the order of the tabs, or even display hit counts.
Some of the new additions he's made still need to be made to the various modules, but I don't expect that to take too long. The company uses a bug tracking system for anyone to submit ideas and fixes, which I feel like should be a standard for all devs. I submitted a number of fixes and suggestions, and response time from devs in addressing issues has also been fantastic.

There are several "article suggest" extensions to choose from. I think this is one of the best. It's well designed and provides a nice tabbed layout. Good backend support too. Looks to be well-supported with active releases and forum, so I hope they stick with this for a while. It looks like a winner to me.
