* Are created from the first images found in your introtext,
* For articles without images or when none are found you can provide a path to a default image

From so many 'related items' extensions available, this is the only one that really gives pictures/thumbnails (not only text or tooltips) on the related items list. Related items in pictures/thumbnails will directly attract your customers' eyes to explore more of your products, thus increase the transaction possibility.
Usage is very simple, and very suitable for little e-commerce website that doesn't want to rely on cumbersome and heavy application.
The developer himself is very supportive. He gives quick response for my questions and even compiles some revision based on my needs. Nice :)

I think the module that you have created is quite good, but it needs to be more versatile. What do i mean by versatile? It should give administrators the option to draw articles not only from one category, but also from keywords, titles, and sections. I don't know how it can be done, but i am willing to help. I am not much in to coding for joomla, but my experience in programming should help.

I did just that in version 3.0.0 you can now use meta keyword from articles to group related items!
I'm looking for a "related articles module" which I can place at any position, has thumbnails, can be set to specific categories/sections and displays on CSS base.
Tried to install the module on joomla 1.5.15. Aborted with "Requires Lagacy Plugin".
Sad, sounded promising.

Stupid error in package xml, this module dont require legacy, I did re upload the latest version to my host. Retry version 1.2.0 it will work as expected
