I was searching loooong time to find a tool like this.
For everybody who does not want to mess around wich sql queries this tool is usefull.
I was only missing an english translation.

After some trial and error this plugin in working in good order.

I included nl-NL for this plugin.
Just rember to include your commands with double quotes (") and the hed of the table with correct -tags en table-body in correct -tags.

This has a lot going for it. It's simple, light weight and is really useful. It's not the easiest to figure out, but I managed and I am no joomla expert.

Did find an issue where the search feature is case sensitive, which is not great for a search feature. An update there would make it 5 stars!

This plugin solved my problem with a lot of contacts that users want to edit in front-end.
Awesome filter of Szaki make my huge contact table easy to use.

Anyway, this is simple and powerful plugin.

I'm very happy with this extension it's exactly what I Needed. Only thing I experienced trouble with is when I have values with dots or comma's in it. It doesn't sort right if I use such values.
e.g. 1.000.000,- and 950.000,-
It will sort this way:

950.000,-
1.000.000,-

Instead of:

1.000.000,-
950.000,-

The technical aspects of this plugin are excellent particularly for a non-commercial offering. I have been using it to develop a site in my test environment. The weakness is the documentation which is thin and as someone else pointed out rendered worst by Google translation. I suggest anyone looking at the documentation use only the descriptions that are translated and flip back to the original text for the coding examples.

The SQL feature works on my list of K2 Items.

The syntax is

Szaki Table is very easy to configuration,
wonderful plugin, thanks to the developer for sharing this.

Just installed this plugin and must say that it is working perfectly.

The problem most people are experiencing is with the documentation. Keep in mind that if you use Google translate to give you a live translation of the documentation website it will also translate the code examples and subsequently renders them useless.

The only thing I'd like to see is some more (default) options in the plugin settings.

I spent more than 30 minutes to try to make it work on my joomla 1.7 site, but it has been impossible. The documentation is poor, there is no explanation on the author website, but only a sample code that is not working in my joomla site.

I was unsure as to whether to download this extension as I had read the previous negative reviews. Once downloaded I was still unsure but thought 'lets do it!'.

So I installed and enabled the plugin. Make sure you translate the tutorial page into english. I copied the code direct from this page. Make sure you use the original, not the translated version or it wont work.

I got some errors until I used the ',' delimeter.

Easy to use and to style, excellent extension.

Well, as already said, if it does not work, one cannot give a 3 stars or more...

I tried to use it, it almost worked with Firefox 4 but definitely not with IE9. Even with FF, I does not work very well, for example after you entered a filter, it is no more possible to get the full list. My table was quite big (225 lines and 10 columns) but not that big indeed...

Several people have strarted their reviews by stating that they either haven't or couldn't test this product because they couldn't understand the instructions or because it just didn't work. They then go on to score it between 3 and 5 stars.

This is puzzling and seems ridiculous to me. If it didn't work or the support is poor - it isn't a 5 star product. Surely this is common sense. You are misleading people who then download on the basis of inflated review scores. This product should not be a 4.7 out of 5 when it simply hasn't worked for over a third of the reviewers.

For me it just doesn't work. It looked promising but the table cell codes are stripped out when I publish with the Szakitable tags, so I end up with a line of text rather than columns and rows.

Because the site is poorly written and it hasn't worked for numerous other reviewers I wont be wasting my time trying to get it working. Instead I'll download 'picnet table filter' and use jumi or AN Other script plugin to allow me to set my own advanced sorting and filters on tables.

Shame, I'd much rather have a plugin solution, I think built in table filtering is a basic need in Joomla. This plugin doesn't fill the gap, not reliably anyway.

I'm using Joomla 1.6.

This extension holds great promise. Unfortunately the examples & syntax give by the author are inconsistent. It's hard to tell which example is correct and requires trial & error to figure it out (which I still haven't). If this extension had proper support documentation for the end-user, this would easily be a 5 out of 5.

Looks great and exactly what i need, but still didn't manage to get it to work due to lack of documentation. A step by step guide would be appreciated.

This is a very useful tool once you figure out how to use it, but for one critical aspect - the plugin works with European formatted CVS files, not US formatted ones. Comma-delimited files don't seem to work. The delimiting relies on semi-colons. I can maybe figure out how to make a conversion, but it's not suitable for clients. On a large file, doing a search and replace for commas isn't feasible, as some commas have to remain commas.

Conceptually, though, this plugin is great. Just point it at a csv file and off it goes. Deserves broader development and documentation.

Easy to use!!! However, the zebra setting isn't working though. Make sure that you use thead and tbody in order to make it work.

We give the developer 5 stars for this plugin based on a review of the demo site, although we could not test it ourselves after installation. It is a great alternative to other commercial plugins, but the syntax is not clear. This is a real pity since this plugin is undoubtedly an extension many have been waiting for.

We hope the developer will add a contact option or a forum on the developer's site and clarify the syntax further with more detailed examples (what do we need to insert between the tags to replace the "...").

I did not had a chance to test drive this and that's because of missing a better documentation.
Some better examples would do it too.
I believe You are doing it and that's why I gibe a a 5 Star.
