I often wonder how to approach the various extensions posted in the JED. On one hand I admire everyone who invests time in developing an extension and makes it available to the community at no or limited cost. On the other hand, a lot is published that is either hardly usable or leaves a lot to be desired.
The latter is true for this plug-in. Although the idea is nice, the developers seem to lack some basic technical Joomla! knowledge. Either that, or I'm missing something. Why require to enter the user id in the 'Key Reference' field, if the user id can be obtained from the very same article the 'Key Reference' is obtained from?
Another issue is the literal text used in the plug-in, instead of making use of JText. A missed opportunity if you ask me.
I want to thank the developers nevertheless, as they at least took the time to make this extension available.

Always interesting to say that we have some lack of knowledge, one is co-founder of Joomla and myself has done also some work in the project, so we think we have some knowledge ;-)
Understand that this extension was created for one simple purpose on JFoobar, clean, easy and simple and just does what it needs. We released under GPL, and you are free to improve the code, your suggestions make sense, so why not change it (improvements you mentioned are not that much work)
