Quickcontent ComponentLanguage

Add new articles, sections and categories within minutes! Create corresponding menu items in a course. Fill articles with "lorem ipsum" for layout testing.
When we set up Joomla! projects in our daily work, we missed a tool for speed up the process of creating content and menus. So we developed this plug&play AJAX component and hope you will enjoy it, too!
Requirements: Joomla 1.5+ , PHP 5.2+ (json enable)

+++ NOTICE: both, creating CONTENT and creating MENU ITEM will take place in ONE STEP! ... there are NOT two steps creating content / menu item. +++

Really,it's an excellent plugin..it would have been more better to include meta data fields for content,as it is an important factor for SEO

I absolutely LOVE this extension. So when my joomla 1.5 site crashed and I started upgrading to Joomla 1.7, I was heartbroken that this extension is only for 1.5. I may try to install it and see if it works on 1.7 anyway! Tops in my book

Nothing worse than moving over an old site to Joomla when you have to add sections, categories, and articles. This component is outstanding. Better than preprocessor attempts, Quickcontent can be used for fast site setup and demo content. It works flawlessly. Thanks!!!

Thanks,

that one is a very much help for setting up new pages, also if you do not need to fill articles with fill words.

Creating sections, categories, menu and article structure becomes VERY EASY (when you already prepared an knew what you want ;-)

Thanks very much for this !!!

Sunny regards

Just the ticket for rapid pages prototyping.

Section, Category use or creation, menu linking options and dummy page content published or unpublished. With a few clicks :)

Downloaded and running on local server in seconds.
Took a couple of seconds to figure the Green Tick was Apply Changes, otherwise Happy to recommend as a time saver.

This is a superb timesaving component which does exactly what it is intended to do. Provided you have a reasonable image of your site's basic structure in your head you can complete much of the donkey work quickly and efficiently from this single tool. We need more such sensible, pragmatic applications, and less of the over-complex but extrordinarily clever/pretty tools which ultimately cause conflicts and collapse.

This is a real time saver, when you are installing a new website with joomla, the creation of sections, categories and "lorem ipsum" articles is very time consuming because each time you have to reload the page (joomla is not ajax friendly for this things..). This component allow to create sections, categories and articles in seconds!!

Good idea for Developers, but would be VERY useful with some changes for general non-tech users.

Publish to menu option is a great addition that is missing unexplicably from the Joomla core.

Problems
- location in Components pulldown menu instead of integrated in the Article manager section confusing.

- can't unpublish from menu unless you go to menu manager.

- doesn't use the standard publish / apply buttons, so unclear at first how to publish article.

- after publishing article, there's no clear way to see other articles or link back to a main component page.
NOTE: Using core Article publisher, after you publish an article you taken to the Article manager page.

I would LOVE to enable the publish to menu option here and add it to the core functionality of the core Article publisher.

I like this idea, it should be actually in the core of Joomla !
BUT.... unfortunately it is not working for the frontend what is a really pity, since my customers are not writing their articles in the backend.

Anyhow thank you for this extension, it will be perfect if accessible from the frontend too, but maybe its not designed to be like that.
Owner's reply

thank you, Quickcontent was designed to create new content at the backend only. Not as helper for customers but as helper for webworkers and mass content producer to save time at their daily work. The next step in evolution could be not only to create content but to edit content with "ajax-speed"

Really quick and had no problem at all using it. But after creating a section, category and an article for the first time, I was not able to assign the next article to the menu item created using Quickcontent extension. I changed it using 'Menu Item Manager'. An option under 'Add Article' may help do that quicker.

Thanks for a very good extension :-)
