1. Edit article, menu-item, module and page titles in-place
2. Edit articles in a modal popup
3. Edit module parameters in a modal popup
4. Drag & Drop repositioning and reordering of modules
You have to install the component and both the plugins and enable them in order for this extension to work properly.

This is a must have, this makes your life way much easier in regards to module positioning. Joomla 1.6 should have this feature incorporated this is time saver.

I've been searching for an extension like this and was impressed by it's demo. But unfortunately I could not use it, because of compatibility problems with MavikThumbnails.
Even with MavikThumbnails turned off, the article-form could not be opened as a popup.
The automatic template modification didn't work either.
I am really looking forward to an update of this extension.

Fantastic idea, but...
When you activate it, it breaks mootool's extensions (e.g. Rok ContentRotator, Rok Latest News...). And when you activate MavikThumbnails this plugins didn't work at all!
Problem decribed over two months age is still unaswered.
So if you are using some mootools be prepared this plugins breaks you site.
If it will be rewriten to work with other mootools extensions it will be one of most powerfull yoomla extensions!

This is the main issue with this extension and why it may not work well with your setup. Unfortunately, I had to use mootools 1.2 keeping Joomla! 1.6 in mind.
Just maybe, I might rewrite the JavaScript to make it work with any mootools version. It is a BIG maybe ( it'll be a lot of work )

Ankit - your contribution is bigger than you know.
Installation was simple. Usefulness is WAY off the charts!
Us admins talk a good game to end users about the benefits of Joomla - "You can edit your content right from your site!" Well sort of... Once we take advantage of all the cool module and menu capabilities of Joomla to make a great looking site, we are stuck training the user on the back end so they can update mod_custom content and other parameters.
With this component/plugin(s) our lives are much better. The sun is shining a bit brighter, honey tastes sweeter. ...you get the idea.
Admins with end users managing their own content - download this NOW, no really NOW!
One problem, I didn't see a donate button on your site.
I'm sure we'll all find limitations (changing the template structure is a bit scary), but keep the updates coming. Massive Kudos!

I like the idea..
Hop to fix the left/right module dragging.
Hop to build a way to update module contents too, as many web owner need to prevent other from back-end module & plug-ins editing
All other features are superior and handy.. Keep the good work

This is a brilliant alternative to the heavy-weight JCE and CK Editors !
Unfortunately it is not possible to restrict the edit rights to the "special" group of users. That means any registered user can edit articles ..
Another hint: make sure you safe your index.php file BEFORE installing this component, otherwise it could happen that your template is messed up and can't be restored as it happened to me :-(
Anyhow very good extension / and if the user rights problem is solved it will be certainly the best joomla editor ! Thanks !

Oh, it should've created a backup file 'index.php.backup' for you. You can always click on "Revert Changes" to undo the changes that it makes to your template's files.
I will try and add user permissions in a next version maybe. With ACL in Joomla 1.6, permissions are going to be easier to add.

Some improvements maybe: ability for creating/editig menu links and changing template.

We are looking into implementing this for our packaged Joomla solutions for small businesses. This is a HUGE advancement for easing the use of Joomla! The backend and terms used by Joomla tend to confuse the less savvy users out there and this is a big help in lowering our support costs.
Please keep up the great work on this component. I would hope to see "menu item editing/adding" included one day. That addition would be huge so that we can just about block the need for logging into the admin console!

Great enhancement of front end editing especially the modules drag and drop.
Hope it can work for most templates it will be very useful for devs to quicker set up Joomla sites.
