With this component you can give frontpage-articles a date and time to un-publish. Without unpublishing the article itself. You can still reach the articles in there categories. The article just disappears from the frontpage. The plugin is the extensions wich does the checking of date and time and unpublish the article if necessary. Donn't forget to install and publish the plugin after installation. English and dutch language supported. New languages are welcome.
Nov. 27 2010 : Plugin update. The plugin has a new parameter. This value of this parameter (days) is added to to the publish_date and compared to the current date. Greater then 0 diables the dates from the component.
Work together with the Developer of "Auto-Archive" and you will get a perfect Online News Paper functionality in a short time.
Your extensions controls the publishing on the frontpage, and Auto-Archive moves the article in other Categories after unpublishing on the FP.

Just what is needed to keep the frontapage from flooding with to many articles. Should be available as an extra unpublish option in joomla! on writing new articles to show on the frontpage. Use it for every new frontpage article.
If you are looking for newspaper/magazine management this component could help.
Combined with the JbCrtUnPublishData plugin you could manage the articles as a newspaper without use other huge components for the same purpose.
Suggestion: In components -> JB Publish Down list would be better if you link to the title of the article and not the ID, making the list most familiar as Joomla! users :)
Just an idea: Would be great if the publish down from the front page works automatically, especially if you do it every day, as a newspaper webmaster :)
