Well, if you just think about it...
How will you present images in a container with different size?

This component is fine. It adds nice looking effect to your website. Easy to use.
It would be nice to have control on the position of the image if the image is smaller than the zone defined. Otherwise just fine.

This is the best non commercial solution for a slideshow with specific links per image that I found on all joomla extensions. The idea that it is GPLd is very good for my linux site, and it works nearly perfect, I recommend this component!

This plugin would be great, except the module randomly ends up turning red and not showing the pictures if you edit the slideshow after you make it... The next problem is the text to be displayed on the picture requires you to choose a background color that blocks out key parts of the pictures...
Suggestions would be to have the pictures be able to be clicked and displayed in a popup window in full size so that you can enjoy the picture in full view. The link option gives you the opportunity to do this by going to a new page where you could have the picture, but that means you have to do alot of extra work. Overall a good start, but not useable as is without modifications, the demo looks good, but now make the download work that way too...

Tried this component/module. It works pretty good; but I'm missing a few options and possibilities.
- I want to be able to select the diashow images path; otherwise I get another folder for my images.
- I'm missing a function to set multiple images at the same time for a diashow, I don't want to select every single image seperately.
- The images should be automaticly be resized into the dimensions set in the module parameters.
If the author could implement this I'm for sure gonna use this component a lot! Thanls!

Excellent component/module. If you are looking for an easy to install image-rotator give this one a go!
The author could spice things up even more with things like a module-choice for placing the text either above or below the images but hey, this is 1.5 all the way and it works out of the box so no complaining here ;)

I am using diashow since a week, and for a single use it works like a clock but when using it for multiple occasions the picture doesn't show although the link to both the picture and the location of the rest of the pictures works.
I have now 4 links, of which 2 are working as they should and 2 are not.

This is exactly what I needed! Simple to install and set up. In just a few minutes I had a rotating image module on my site! I tried a lot (and I mean a lot) of other image modules for Joomla and they either didn't work in all browsers or didn't do what I needed them to do. I just wanted rotating images that pulled from one directory on my site. This is perfect! Highly recommend it!

I am using this extension on one of my websites and it works great. It was easy to install and there were no bugs.
