As other reviewers experienced, I also got two blank images on the distant server (not on my local apache server, surprisingly). As someone else mentioned, this is because all my pictures are jpg files and because there are two empty paths for png and gif images.
I removed the pngimages and the gifimages variables from lines 250 and 251 of the helper.php file and solved the problem that way.
Thank you your interest. I'll re-check...
I used this module embedded in an article to display a slideshow at the top of my content section.
Anyone interested in doing the modal thing, google for joomla modal. You'll need to add a target option to the module's xml, add a test for the new target in the helper file, and make a doctored link if that target is detected. You'll also have to make sure your template has the modal behavior enabled.
On the plus side, this is the only component I've found which gives you the option to play through a folder of images once and then stop (which seems a strange omission from the other extensions in this category) - pretty much an essential requirement if you're using this for a splash screen.
There's also no documentation, although there are explanatory tooltips in the back-end, and the labels for each option are pretty clear.
It is set up for HTML overrides, but it's not easy to use this facility as all of the content is stored externally. For those who prefer to use the HTML override to control the content, and external CSS files to ensure consistent presentation, this isn't the easiest way to set things up.
There's one omission in the transitions, which is a cross-fade from one image to the next. The fade transition provided fades back to the background colour before fading the next image up - that can be an annoying depending on the images you're using.
Contacted the developer but got no answer at all. Not very professional ... :-(
Only one critique, and not enough to pull it down from 5 stars: Please finish the English portion of your website, I can't read Turkish!
Besides of that a really great and easy to use extension.
Thank you.
Really easy to use, very intituitive.
I have a bug and I don't know why, hope u help me.
When I check the show all images option, it shows two blank images at the end of all my images.
Why's that?, Can it be fixed?
thanks
