The main news is the possibility to implement several galleries on your site. You can now simply and directly from the component create new and unlimited menu items related to their skin. Also the management of the parameters of each skin is easier.
Installing Ozio Gallery 2.1 the plugin Content - OzioGallery2 is automatically installed and activated.
To insert a gallery inside Joomla content follow this simple procedure:
- Create a menu item relating to the gallery you want.
- Access the administration page of the component Ozio Gallery, menu Components -> Ozio Gallery 2, on the right side are visible all the galleries published, and the plugin code to be copied. Copy the code referring to the plugin you wish to enter in a content.
- Access to the content of Joomla where you want to enter the gallery, and paste the previously copied code where you want, save and view the article from frontend. To change the size of the gallery included and change the other parameters is necessary to refer to the respective menu item. For those who want to remove or change the title of the menu item from above the gallery, act in Parameters (System) of the respective menu item, setting a new page title, or by setting the parameter Show Page Title to No.
By performing this procedure, are published both the menu item and the gallery content. For those who do not want to have the menu item visible on the site, we advised to create a new menu titled Hidden, and create in this menu the menu item for the gallery to be included in the content. Is automatically created a new module for the new Hidden menu, this module is not active and should be left as inactive. In this way the galleries created with this new hidden menu will be included in the contents and belong only to content that is pasted in the code of the plugin.
The new "mediaGallery" skin allows the automatic recognition of the categorization of images(jpg),video(flv), audio(mp3) each folder in the main folder of images automatically become a new category selectable from the left menu.

Being new to Joomla, its extensions/plugin etc this as to be one of the best and easiest photo gallery addons around and free to boot!
Great work worthy of prize.

I like very much the skins and overall look, BUT I give up, because from time to time some of the several galleries I created on my webpage stop to show photos. The solution is to reset XML and clear cache in the browser. But I am a photographer and I need a very stable way of showing my photos. So, finally I have no idea how to escape from this problem... I think I will stop using Ozio Gallery (having v2.3)

I am a newbee (is that the name?), but I found it very ease to install and maintain.
I would also install the mod_ozio2.zip. This is a module for publishing the galleries in the template module positions. Great stuff ...
Cheers

I used Phoca, which is very good, but you cannot navigate all the pictures at once. Ozio became a perfect solution for me with many options to navigate photos. Grazie Mille Ozio Team.
You rock !

I saw the Ozio Gallery and it looks great as a demo. I downloaded and installed it. However, the instructions are limited on how to get all the skins working. So I went to the forum and low and behold, it is entirely in Italian. Tried to get logged in and fumble through but could not understand the validation process.
So I now have installed the software with no support to make it work. Would be nice if there is an english version of the forum to solve any issues. Guess I will look elsewhere. Sorry.

WOW! Very nice. Easy to install and configure. A great way to spice up a dull website. Lot's of format choices. If you want to display images on your site, this is the extension to get.
Sparking eye candy. First rate. A must have!

This was extremely easy to setup. I had a basic photo gallery up and running in 5min! There are many different ways to display the images. Good job!

Really like this extension. Got one prob though:
It uses image filnames as captions and since i work in Sweden i got problems with our special characters: å,ä,ö.
The gallery crashes when I use these characters.
Tried to put the special character codes in the filenames (i.e. å for the å-letter). But ozio didn´t encode this.
Anyone knows if there´s a workaround or fix for this? Thanks for any help!

Good component, lots of options and works great but don't put the imagin flash gallery underneath a drop down menu because your menu items will dissapaer underneath the image gallery. This cannot be fixed with z-index.

definitely this is the best gallery i have found, it gives you variety, it is easy to use and to set, the only thing i have not been able to do is to publish a gallery only in an article (will be great if the plugin mechanism works regardless of gallery status) other than that it is great

Es muy bueno, con muchas opciones de configuracion y fácil de utilizar. Hasta ahora no he tenido ningún problema con esta versión 2.2
I saw a demo of this a while ago. I have not seen anything even close since.
Very easy to install and once you get past the upload of photos (actually very easy once you read the short tutorial).
What EYE CANDY! this thing is.
Thank you OZIO.

Excellent is truly the right rating. When You look at the com working together with module and plugin You will love to recognize some programmer just thinking about usability the right way! BTW the gallery types integrated are good also. But mostly fascinating is the simplicity of the whole thing. Gives U lots of opportunities. Great. More of that.

i downloaded the free versions, i liked it very much. I did notice the links above and below the media player. I followed the link hoping to purchase a brand free version, only to find out after that it's not a straight component as any other joomla extension...it doesn't exist a version like the free, unbranded. but one find out this only after forking out the money.
So i think it's fair to say to people clearly...you cannot have this component brand free, the pro version it's not like the free version, which can be installed as any other joomla component.
if people are looking at unbranded, professional extensions, look elsewhere!

The gallery is great!! Excellent work! The only problem that I am having is having to reset the XML file everyday sometimes twice a day. For some strange reason my photos don't load and the gallery drops and the only way to get my gallery back up is my resetting it. If someone has a fix for this please let me know.. Thanks
